Kev I feel happy reading your words Please know how important they are.
You have given me hope when my HA’s weren’t set up right. I’m getting there

Pub environments are now good Peter, and borderline excellent in ones with soft furnishings & good ambient light… TBVH, I haven’t tried anything other than autosense, I haven’t felt the need to try other programs, apart from the occasional use of Roger On… Cheers Kev
I’m very happy that you are happy.
It’s just… Yeah, maybe they’ll do REM and it will be right on target, or close enough. But as someone who does REM all day every day–you don’t know until you know. Rather then saying “we don’t need it”, they could just take 15 minutes and do their job. If there really are no adjustments needed, then 5 minutes.
Perhaps you will when you get your Naida L90’s yourself Ruth, I do hope so! My kitchen clock is battery operated, it’s a tick, but no tock with my Marvels, I thought it was totally silent, until I got up close to see if I could hear anything from it, I could hear a very faint tick, when I put my ear up close… Nowadays if it’s quiet in the kitchen, I hear that rhythm, tick, tick, tick, from 10 or 12 feet away, no problem whatsoever… Cheers Kev
Thank you Dave, I appreciate your input Cheers Kev
Thank you @Neville as a professional, your insight is invaluable on this forum, it is always appreciated by me, and I am certain by most of the forum members… We live and learn on here everyday, in the fond hope, we might attain a better overall hearing experience… We chase that pipe dream of hearing well in noise, these Naida. Lumity UP’s are the closest I have yet experienced, not perfect by any means, but I would class them as good to very good… I was at the Monday night pool league match last night, in my element, and totally relaxed, and for the most part, I was holding conversations, I was missing the odd word/words, but if we are realistic, hearing folks would also be slightly struggling, they won’t catch everything said, why should us HOH even consider, we might hear better than they do, in noise! Cheers Kev
Little things heard that have not been heard in years can sure be rewarding.
Usually other little sounds come along too. Some of that improves speech. Also very rewarding.
Many of us understand very well what you are describing. For me CI was all and more of what you have been talking about.
Thanks for taking the time to share your experience. I also understand typing and reading is challenging.
Thank you Rick, I understand your sentiments, you have my deep appreciation, and you possess “that” gift of understanding… You always come across as a very rounded individual, you have worn the tee shirt & walked the walk in my shoes… I never went your route, but I do appreciate why you went for CI, I was sorely tempted, and sometimes I regret not going for CI’s, but sometimes we decide in haste, and repent at our leisure… 3 months to decide, on such a life changing op, perhaps isn’t long enough? So I declined their kind offer of assessment… I think the relatively small chance it might not work, combined with the rehab, was always nagging at me, that, and I was due for retirement, tipped the balance in favour of the status quo… I had the backup, of lots of Roger ALD’s, so if I needed to hear, I could easily use one… I enjoy your posts Rick, you help a lot on here, you understand… Cheers Kev
@Neville I see what you did there, good wording
I love to hear my grandfather clock ticks and water dripping from the tap!
@glucas
Where did you see the information about APD being more like NAL2?
I can’t find it ,is it a white paper?
It’s been 5-6 years ago that I read this comparison. Seems it was at the Phonakpro links I used to look at often but not sure.
I also seem to remember one of the pros on this forum mentioning it as well.
Thanks both. Seen it now.
Right folks, I am at present back home in Shetland… A wonderful place, although the weather is somewhat horrendous, those Loganair pilots are highly skilled, around 60mph winds was no problem whatsoever… As soon as I stepped off the plane my hat was gone, when outside the airport, my 20kg suitcase blew over… Welcome to Shetand The last couple of nights I was in the RBL club (Royal British Legion) couple of hundred people downstairs (guesstimate) in the sports lounge, 4 pool tables going, 2 snooker tables, 10 darts boards also going, jukebox blaring, TV going… It was loud, extremely so! Now, normally I wouldn’t even attempt conversation in such a hostile hearing environment, but I could hold a rudimentary conversation with old friends, and acquaintances from yesteryear, it was excellent to catchup… I was highly impressed with these Naida Lumity’s, and yes, hell might freeze over if I caught every word, it just wouldn’t happen!!! It was good to talk, and partially listen… Cheers Kev
Hi folks, today, I paid for the “Phonak Lumity Naida 90 UP BTE’s”… I got a good deal, for doing a review & assessment of these aids, with several comparison tests, with the the Naida Paradise 90 UP BTE’s… A little work involved, but nothing too serious… Well, I thought it was a good deal any savings in my book, is always a bonus, it helps to pay for my other Roger ALD’s, so, I am happy, and I assume they are likewise… If you have any further questions on the Naida Lumity UP’s , just ask, and I will do my best answer any questions… Cheers Kev
I will have a look, @ some point Ruth, at what echo programs are there, and report back… I am kinda harassed at the moment, my iMac is playing up, so I am thinking I will have to erase the Big Sur operating system, and reinstall from scratch, a real PITA, and time consuming! Plus a stud partition is being erected outside in my car port, to stop the wind whistling through, I will hopefully finish it tomorrow??? BTW, 2 new images below of my new soft acrylic custom moulds, very nifty, and ultra comfortable, no feedback, and no vents… Cheers Kev
@Zebras
This is my App screen for Comfort in Echo on my P90s
The 3 band EQ is available too
Edit: I have all my presets set to 360⁰ (except calls).
Peter
The size is much smaller than Oticon Xceed. Nice photos and molds.
Thanks. The App is identical to mine even tho I have the P70.
