Oticon More Power BTE version availability

I think I can attach my audiogram. It is severe to profound.

I sincerely hope that Oticon announces BTE/SuperPower version at CES2022. Fingers crossed.

my audiogram is worse than yours, but nevertheless I use oticon opn 1 rite with powerful 105 dB receivers. Not perfect, but I can hear much better with them than the widex Dream fashion power 220. Ask your audiologist for a DSL-5 adult or DSL-5 child formula. Sorry for my bad english

CES 2022 passed and no word from Oticon. I am utterly disappointed. :angry: A year has passed since the release of mini-RITE More and still no availability of Power13 BTE version, let alone SuperPower BTE version.

Two mini BTE (battery powered and rechargeable) versions will be released soon

What does mini BTE exactly mean? That it will need 312 size batteries instead of 13?

You announced the release of the battery-powered mini-Rite in July 2021, one month before Oticon’s announcement. So should we expect BTE More to be available for purchase in March?

No - it means the speaker/receivers are within the main body in the aid - not in the mould section that goes into the ear. Typically and historically they are more powerful aids than RIC hearing aids - although they were around before RIC anyway. You can get RIC superpower hearing aids, but I’m guessing that’s for the lower end of the severe/profound loss spectrum and people with a profound loss need a BTE as the receiver/speakers are larger and would not fit into a custom mould.

With respect to the battery size, BTEs can go from 312 up to 675. But for severe/profound losses 13 and 675 are typically used.

110db Oticon Dynamo SuperPower aids were released in November 2015. 120db Oticon Xceed aids were released in August 2019. Should I wait for the release of SuperPower More this fall? After years of stable loss, I lost 10db of hearing in 2020 and should I lose another 10db, this would make 105db More inadequate for my hearing loss.

Phonak Nadia Paradise BTE with 675 batteries will support hearing loss to 120db. You may need additional devices to support your hearing to understand more clearly. I.e. Roger mic. This is where I am at.

I don’t have anywhere near that level of loss, and I find the Roger On mic to be an amazing help in situations where I struggle to understand voices. It sucks for picking up music. But the focus on voices is amazing. It was almost three months with me Phonak audeo P90s that the audiologist gave me the mic. SO helpful. I don’t know if I had to go through the three months without as a brain training period, but I’m in a better place now. The mic does transmit music amazingly well when it is fed from the audio cable. Just not when it picks it up acoustically.

Oticon More miniBTE finally got released today. But its intended usage case is only for Slight-Moderate loss. Hearing aids, information on hearing loss and tinnitus | Oticon
That’s not what I was expecting. What about severe-profound loss? :frowning: When will Superpower version become available?

I tried the link you gave and it only took me to the Oticon website with a “new” product which is the miniRITE T version which is the non-rechargeable disposable battery version. I don’t see any announcement of the BTE PP (Power Plus) version which has the receiver inside the hearing aid and the air tube going into the ear canal.

So if you’re referring to the BTE PP version, at least the link you provided is not showing that it’s been released yet.

OK, so they float the pics around of the BTE version. But do you have the actual link that shows that it’s now available from Oticon? I’m just saying that @hearing-love_loss said that the miniBTE finally got released today, but the link provided didn’t support that statement (that the miniBTE version got released today), that’s all.

@Volusiano Excuse my French:

@Volusiano

The link shows for me that the Mini BTE got released.

OK, I think maybe I figured out what’s going on now. If I click on the link provided, it simply “rerouted” me to the oticon.com website. Even if I cut and pasted the actually link content and put it on a webpage, it still rerouted me to the oticon.com website. And the oticon.com website (at least here in the US) has not said anything about the miniBTE being released yet.

I don’t know why it does that. The only thing I can think of is that you’re able to see it because you’re in England so maybe it doesn’t reroute for European folks but it rerouted it for USA folks? I wonder if it means they’ve released it in Europe now but not in the US yet, hence the reroute?

@Volusiano Same for me, but a Genie update will show the new HA:
