Stuck in the walled garden of the apple orchard, huh? Sorry to hear
Yes But Appleās Mfi protocol is the trap they use to increase their sales. And they won here - almost all hearing aids use only this protocol.
True only for older models, before ASHA and LE Audio became available on later models.
Looks like @tenkan beat me to it!
Wait till Auracast becomes widely available, and your Mfi canāt connect
I switched from iPhone to Samsung went my Oticon started to stay connected better and sound better with Android, my Oticon INTENT1 aids are le audio and work great with my Samsung S23 phone,
Auracast moves at a snailās pace
Auracast is the future, le audio is here today.
In my Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra surprisingly I have a feature of Auracast broadcasting:
However, I donāt know when I will use it.
I also have it, but there isnāt a lot of devices yet. And my INTENT1 aids are set to le audio in the Bluetooth settings
Iāve been on the receiving end of an Auracast broadcast from a friendās Samsung phone. Unfortunately it was to my buds, not my hearing aids.It was a bit of a geek moment.
Havenāt you had the possibility to fiddle with the equalizer?
Sorry, donāt quite follow.
I meant, was it possible to modify Samsung equalizer settings to adjust frequencies more precisely for your hearing loss?
Ah ok. Iāve modified the equalisation on the buds so they sound pretty good. The āunfortunateā bit is that I can take an Auracast broadcast on a cheap set of Chinese earbuds but not on my $2k Auracast-enabled hearing aids!
My buds are these.
Wow, Bluetooth 5.4, as many as 6 (!) microphones, 50 dB ANC
I mainly use them for listening to music in quiet, so I canāt say much about how well the mics work. Overall, I like them a lot.
