Oticon Intent Firmware 1.1.0

Stuck in the walled garden of the apple orchard, huh? Sorry to hear :pensive:

Yes  But Apple’s Mfi protocol is the trap they use to increase their sales. And they won here - almost all hearing aids use only this protocol.

True only for older models, before ASHA and LE Audio became available on later models.

Looks like @tenkan beat me to it!
Wait till Auracast becomes widely available, and your Mfi can’t connect :joy:

In my Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra surprisingly I have a feature of Auracast broadcasting:

However, I don’t know when I will use it.:sweat_smile:

I also have it, but there isn’t a lot of devices yet. And my INTENT1 aids are set to le audio in the Bluetooth settings

I’ve been on the receiving end of an Auracast broadcast from a friend’s Samsung phone. Unfortunately it was to my buds, not my hearing aids.It was a bit of a geek moment.

Haven’t you had the possibility to fiddle with the equalizer?

Sorry, don’t quite follow.

I meant, was it possible to modify Samsung equalizer settings to adjust frequencies more precisely for your hearing loss?

Ah ok. I’ve modified the equalisation on the buds so they sound pretty good. The ā€˜unfortunate’ bit is that I can take an Auracast broadcast on a cheap set of Chinese earbuds but not on my $2k Auracast-enabled hearing aids!

My buds are these.

Wow, Bluetooth 5.4, as many as 6 (!) microphones, 50 dB ANC :astonished:

I mainly use them for listening to music in quiet, so I can’t say much about how well the mics work. Overall, I like them a lot.
