I am using my Samsung S23 phone with my INTENT aids that hasn’t been updated to the latest firmware, my aids are set to le audio in the phone Bluetooth settings, I am using the Oticon beta app instead of the official companion app. I am not having in connectivity issues with my aids and phone other than the tap to answer calls. I am not positive that I have two way communication but I can walk away from the phone once I answer the call. The other thing is that i am using the Google phone app instead of the Samsung phone app as the Samsung phone app isn’t working properly with my aids in le audio.
I’d imagine you’re getting hands-free, if you can walk away from the phone…
I always forget to use the app, I’m so used to plugging in the HAs in the morning, and using my remote 3.0 for mute & volume/P changes.
No BT connection issues with the pixel 6a, but only ASHA. While I’d love LE Audio, I’m not ready to spend big bucks for a phone this year.
A few days after you posted this I checked the Oticon website and am pretty sure I saw the Easy LE Adapter on the site. I just checked Oticon.com (about 3:45 PM, EDST, 8-30-24) and did not find it. Am I making a mistake or did Oticon pull the product? If they did perhaps it’s related to Android 15 being released soon (October I think) with the new product being not needed for Android 15 phones but this is just a guess. There is still the issue of using LE Audio on PCs in which case the Easy LE Adapter might help. (I did try a ConnectClip but I did not like the latency problem.) My HCP answered one of my emails and they can update the Intent 1 HAs to firmware 1.1.0 now but I did not ask about the Easy LE Adapter.
It still will be useful for the cheaper android phones that will not be supporting the latest Bluetooth and older phones that don’t support it.
I called the Oticon technical support helpline (9-3-24, around noon eastern) and after speaking with her manager the tech rep told me the “Easy LE Adapter” has not been released yet but is coming. I did not ask for dates or prices but they did confirm the device is in the works.
Yep that is what I got from the Oticon rep for the VA clinic. The hope is for it to be available to be included in the November VA contract.
Super - thanks for the update.
I sure hope they actually make it available in a reasonable time frame. Those of us who got the original Oticon OPN soon after they were available had a VERY long wait to get the promised Oticon ConnectClip to allow connection to computers and other non-MFi devices
The Philips version literature, 9050, says it is all ready for Auracast LE. I imagine that they waited to release the Philips version until
the update was ready.
That is great information . I use a Samsung watch with my S23 and can use a feature on it to answer calls when my phone is in my pocket. Thanks
BTW, Philips shows a similar USB adaptor but it isn’t available yet either.
Good morning! I have the Noahlink Wireless 2… Does anyone have the Oticon and Philips program to program hearing aids? My wife uses those and I would like to program them myself… I know about the subject… Regards and I appreciate your attention.
ask that on the DIY session.
When was 1.1.0 released? My companion app shows 1.1.0, but I never updated the aids.
It is just now available in the USA as of late August or early September.
I just updated my Reals. The newest version is showing as 1.1.1.
You are talking about Real aids, I am talking about the INTENT aids.
Where is the website where you can view the release notes for Oticon Firmware’s? Is it publicly available?
To my knowledge there isn’t any public sites
If it’s the same as the other manufacturer’s software, it’ll be in genie.
It is December and still cannot find anything on the Easy LE adapter.
