If your low frequency hearing is normal or near normal, then I can understand why you are hearing static.
I can hearing static, bacon frying, if I turn up the volume of my hearing aids, or since I wear open domes, by putting my fingers in my ears while wearing my hearing aids.
Interestingly, the static gets much, much louder when I put my fingers in my ears with the hearing aids in place.
I set the volume on my hearing aids so that I can hear a tiny bit of static, but low enough so that I can ignore it.
Thanks for posting but as Bimodal_user says it is easier for the reader to see if you post it as I described above. It is really quite easy (I guess after you have done it once ). The real objective is that the audiogram will then be attached to your user name and be available when ever you post. When you post a photo as above it is only in that one place and may/probably will, be missed by many who could provide better information than I can.
I have the KS9.0 which is similar to the previous Phonak Marvel. I also demo’d the new Sonite. Being sensitive to music, I personally prefer the Phonak sound profile and do not find them “tinny”. Compared to the other Costco models like Philips/Oticon and Rexton, I find the sound more natural. Unfortunately, demo’ing the new Sonite, I’d agree with previous poster that speech in noise is not very good…barely better than my ancient KS9.0/Marvels. Disappointed that Costco is just now offering a 3 year old Phonak model. Going to tinker with my KS9.0 until something better with speech in noise from Phonak comes to Costco. (ie Sphere Infinio)
