I like the new Upgraded Forum, the way it looks. I did manage to get my password changed after some time. I really like the softer white background. Not all that tech savvy but at my age it is good to keep the brain stimulated.
The new audiogram plugin seems to be assigning zeroes to any unspecified thresholds. We’ll fix this soon. Sorry for the inconvenience! PS. bonus points @jim_lewis; you figured out the puzze
Dark theme is now available, please use the menus here and you’ll see a new entry called “Dark” in the themes list (not shown below)
Here’s a demo. Let me know if you see any issues as you use it:
Not only did it take me too long to figure out that it was a link, once I did, the process didn’t work for me for at least two days (working now, obviously).
I entered my email address, the dialog indicated that my email had been found, I received the email with the “password reset” link, but when I clicked on the link it just took me to the main “not logged in” forum page. Rinse, repeat - I tried it at least 10 times.
It wasn’t until the third day I tried it that I got to the page that let me reset my password. If it hadn’t worked that time I was planning to just abandon the site as unusable.
In case others do not initially see Interface in mobile browsers, you can scroll that toolbar to the side until Interface is visible and can be selected.
BTW, I think dark mode might be automatic for those with dark mode turned on in their browser. I saw this checkbox in my preferences:
What dedication!! Doing this for us on a Sunday after a family outing!!
Thank you Abram.
While I’d love to take credit for going above and beyond, I have to admit that I’m currently living in New Zealand where my wife is from. It’s Monday here! The business is still based in Austin, and my family is there. I have been a little torn on changing my flag and location since my professional life is still largely virtually in Austin
A completely different culture way down under! Quite an adventure.
So, you’re a virtual Austin AuD? LOL!
Is this a permanent move for you, and are you practicing at a clinic?
I’m way too busy these days to practice clinically. I run HearingTracker and I’m one of three business partners in HearAdvisor. I also have 3 kids under 10, so it’s been kinda nuts. We moved here last January, but it’s my second stint in the country. No idea how long we’ll be here, but the wife and kids seem to be doing well, so I’m along for the ride!
So no more Google sign in to Hearing Tracker forum?
Abram, I’m still not able to log in under my old account … I followed the instructions in the e-mail that you sent out today to reset my password and after following the instructions i still do not receive a e-mail on how to reset my password … Ureout was my user name Thx.
The readability changed yesterday and text is now a very light gray on a white background. very difficult to read, that happened on my PC, iphone and ipad.
I fixed the dark theme issue setting “theme” to default and disabling “automatic dark mode color scheme”.
It was like this:
Now it is like this:
I emailed you just now
I tested the auto dark mode this morning and it works fine if you are on the default theme.
Do you recall what settings you had previously? I have tried every combination with and without auto dark mode and forcing my browser into auto dark mode, and can’t ever recreate the grey text on cream background.
I always keep my iPhone and Windows 11 PC set to dark mode. I think the issue might be caused by having ‘double’ dark mode enabled.
BTW, we can’t figure out how to clear out the notifications. If you’re overwhelmed by unread notifications, you can simply do this:
I finally figured out the light grey text on cream background problem. This should now be resolved. It was caused by the operating system level dark mode triggering some dark mode colors but not triggering our actual dark mode theme. So the light font color was on a non dark mode background. Anyway, it’s fixed!
I have only a paper copy of my audiogram. All those shown here don’t look like they were scanned. Site looks like it is entered at a given step. How?
