We’ve just completed an upgrade to the forum. You may notice that a few things are different:
Background color: we’ve applied a background color that matches the background color we use on our main website www.hearingtracker.com. You can change the background color by following the steps outlined below (after the login instructions)
Navigation and logos: The main navigation bar has been updated as well. We know the double logo is a little awkward, and I’m thinking about how to solve that one. In the meantime, just know that the HearingAidForum logo brings you to the front page of the forum, and the HearingTracker logo brings you to the main website.
Functional changes: You may notice some other changes, which are primarily due to upgrading the underlying forum software we use, Discourse (here’s a guide for new users).
Logging in: In the past, when you tried to register or sign in, you were sent to our main website. We have decoupled the two websites, and now this is all managed from within the forum. If you are an existing user, hit the blue “Log in” button at the top of your screen and reset your password to gain entry again. You will be reconnected to your existing account. Note that you can now use “magic” email links (passwordless login) or passkeys, if you prefer. If you have any trouble logging in and need help, please email info@hearingtracker.com for assistance. Adding/Editing audiograms: Audiograms are also now updated inside of the forum. To get there, follow the steps below:
It seemed simpler for me to create a new account than resurrect the old Big_John. This way I was able to create the account with my new email address.
So I am now Big_John77. This forum has impacted my quality of life immeasurably and I greatly appreciate all the help and information that is available here.

Thanks for the support of the forum. If it’s helpful I can try to reconnect your old account to your new email or restore your old username. Thanks again.
I tried to log in many times and tried to change password per directions and never received an e-mail with info… I finally re-joined using an old e-mail address which worked
I wanted to thumbs up this post, but now I have to love it which is weird. These feel like very separate emotions and I expect I will use it very differently.
If other users of your e-mail service have marked Hearing Tracker e-mails as Junk, without any action by you, your e-mail client, based on crowd-sourced SPAM characterization, may treat HT e-mails you receive as Junk. If you don’t mark a HT e-mail as NOT JUNK or add hearingtracker.com to your SAFE SENDERS list, your client’s SPAM determination may get reported back to HT’s transactional e-mail service and to respect your apparent wishes and avoid aggravating HT’s supposed SPAM e-mail status, the HT servers will stop sending e-mail to your user address. Abram & Co. will have to reactivate such an e-mail account on the transactional e-mail service and everyone had best add HT to their e-mail clients SAFE SENDERS list to avoid repeats of the same scenario in the future.
