I’ve succeeded in my first go around with programming my M70-Rs which were given to me. They have 1M receivers which should have acceptable power capacity but they seem a bit short. I haven’t yet measured my ears but the body, or whatever it’s called, sits on top of my ear.
Can you buy longer wires (or so-called ‘tubes’) somewhere and switch them out?
It’s funny: speakers are ‘receivers’, bands are ‘channels’, and wires are ‘tubes’.
Yes … But you don’t replace the wire … you would have to get a receiver with a longer wire
they come in five different lengths 1… to… 5
also you will have to get the same power “M” so a 2M or 3M
Are you doing di it your self programming with Target? Or did a hearing health care profession adjust them for your loss? That really ought to be done before you wear them.
Assuming you have the audeo version hearing aid (wire to receiver in ear) these can be purchased through eBay or other online retailers. They have two versions available, the difference being the wax filter used. I think v4 uses the filters almost universally hated (cerushield) and v5 uses one less hated? Loved in comparison perhaps. (Cerustop, I believe). You’ll need to buy a right and left, presumably. Be careful with the details there. V6 is for the latest infinio audeo aids and the connector is different; they won’t work for you.
I got pretty good with a needle (fine embroidery needle works best) to dig the cerushield filters out when they jammed in sideways. If you don’t have good close in vision and manual dexterity, go with the v5 receivers. You’ll also need a pin like a stretched out paper clip to push in a pin to free the receiver connector from the aid body.
