Zoom audio too quiet

Have a weekly French lesson. I have been struggling slightly and tonight was worse than usual.

I wear Oticon Intents and either use the TV Connector or the Oticon Connectclip.

Have volume maxed out and it is too quiet, which means I am really struggling to hear the teacher speaking French and listening comprehension in general.

Is very frustrating as I have a work zoom and Skype and for some reason all of the talkers sound a lot clearer, and I am not straining to hear them.

Has anybody had this kind of issue? I’m pretty sure it’s not the internet connection as we have just had fibre put in and we get around 350 mbps. I am pretty sure it’s not the amplification of the aids. Is it to do with the upload speed of the teacher?

It’s got to the stage where I’m considering dropping out altogether.

What do you mean? Was it relatively okay until now, or have you been dissatisfied the whole time?

Perhaps ConnectClip or TV Connector has changed volume by accident? With RogerOn that could be the case although it’s rather difficult.

If the latter, maybe consider another fitting formula like DSL 5.0 Adult or (with more gain) Pediatric?

I understand that all basics, like clean mics, receivers, etc., are checked.

I mean that the actual output of zoom is quieter. It’s nothing to do with either the hearing aids or the connect clip/TV connector. It’s like watching a TV program at half volume.

I think this may just be a zoom specific problem. There is a thread here:

Thanks.

Wow, so this was a simple Zoom adjustment problem, or in another case, an improper input setting on the speaker’s side.

I bookmarked your link.
