My audiologist says I should be able to Bluetooth my CI to my TV but I just don’t know what this means. I still watch TV with subtitles and if my partner is watching TV with sound then I have to turn my implant off because all I can hear is a constant rumble of noise which makes no sense. Any advice? Is there a particular TV I should look for?
Welcome to the forum.
What CI brand do you have? I have a N8 (Cochlear & Resound). Resound have a TV streamer that will pair with my processor and stream directly to my ears. This allows the rest of the family to watch TV normally. If this is the same device as you have, look at the TV streamer that Costco sell as it’s cheaper than the one Cochlear sell. But it’s exactly the same one that’s been rebranded.
I’m assuming AB & MedEl have something very similar to this.
Thank you for responding. I probably should have said I’m in the UK, I think we have Costco but I don’t use it. I have an Advanced Bionics CI-1601-05 right sided implant since August 2022.

You wrote the CI manufacturer’s name only but didn’t specify your sound processor model. This factor determines the TV connection possibilities.
I think you should open your kit again, which you received after activation, and check if any useful accessories are included that you were unaware of.
I have an AB CI on my right side, and a the phonak link HA in the left. I use the Phonak TV connector. You hear the audio directly to your CI. And others can set the sound for themselves if it’s hooked up correctly. You may be able to find a used TV connector online.
My CI is Naida. Thank you for all the responses,
