Samsung S23 OneUI7 Android 15 Oticon INTENT

Just installed OneUI7 with Android 15 beta on my Samsung S23 phone and so far it is working great. I have checked streaming and hands free calls. I have set the shortcut for my hearing aids in the phone settings. I still am finding my way around OneUI7

Was the a voluntary upgrade? Or are you part of a test group?

It was a volunteer install. I volunteered on the Samsung members app

An update battery life of my aids has noticeably improved. Battery life of my phone is improved. I like to shortcut to control my aids in the phone settings. Connectivity hasn’t noticeably improved but I am not surprised as it was awesome with the previous generation OS. Streaming sounds great still. Hands free is still great. The distance I can be from my phone and still stream is impressive. I can be in a different room and still talk on the phone with no complaints from the one I am talking to or from me hearing. This honestly hasn’t changed from the previous generation OS. But i have had full hands free when some on here and on the FB Oticon page said it was impossible. Yes my phone can be in my jeans pocket and I can stream audiobooks or music or be on a hands free call.

I have been using the OneUI7 beta now for a week snd haven’t had any bugs or issues with my INTENT aids and connectivity.

I updated my Samsung S23 to OneUI7 beta 2 last evening and the results are awesome. The phone is faster, the phone battery life seems better. The connectivity to my INTENT aids is still great. The streaming sound is really clear and clean.

Looking forward to it. I guess it starts rolling out on April 10 for S24 users and will eventually get to the rest of us S23 users. Glad you are testing it for the rest of us :grinning:

I am very curious about my S23 Ultra and Phonak’s HAs. I don’t want to risk using beta versions; I will wait until April 24th for official release for S23s.

I fully understand, i do know how to reverse back to the released version of the OS if needed, it is a pain in the butt to do but possible.

Fully agree about pain in the butt, despite I know also how to reverse. I have enough issues with my earmold, but step-by-step I’ll untangle that Gordian knot (not by “cutting through”, tho).

I admire that you have freely mastered the smartphone, because many people even the younger generation do not know how to do many things on it.

I am a retired IT professional and electronics technician/engineer. I made my living fixing issues. And I had to test beta software and hardware to determine if we were going to add the software or hardware into the network that was highly security secured.

Yes, I remember your story about your issues getting security permission to repair the server due to having Bluetooth hearing aids…

My Samsung S23 phone was updated to the release version of OneUI7 this morning. My recommendation is to clear all data from the companion app and pair your INTENT aids again. My phone is faster and more responsive. Connectivity is solid.

Chuck, have you asked your audi about the availability of the Easy LE Adaptor for the new VA contract in May?
I just got a Pixel 9 which I had zero intentions of upgrading, but my carrier (US Mobile) had the Pixel 9 for $400!
I could not pass that up, so I’ve got LE Audio, now, but figured the adaptor would be for my windows machine.
Otherwise, I’ll just get the FooGoo.

I haven’t taljto my VA audiologist in a couple months. But I am sure by now he knows about the new contract. I would like to have it for my Samsung android tablet which is a number of years old.

The audi’s in Long Beach, CA never know, so I thought I’d ask.
Lemme know when you hear. thx.

I just upgraded my Z Flip 6 to OneUI7 and Android 15, and at your recommendation I unpaired and repaired my Oticon Intents to the phone. I don’t, however, see anyplace to “check streaming and hands free calls,” although these have been working on my phone under Android 14 since I got these aids. Where are these settings found? In the phone Bluetooth settings (looked there) or the Oticon app (looked there as well)? Or maybe under Accessibility (actually looked there as well)?

Thank you.

Check in settings connections, Bluetooth. Then your aids, see if you have le audio enabled. That should be all you need.
