Roger On compatibility with other brands

Like so many of us, my hearing aids do not work well in background noise. I have almost stopped going to restaurants. I plan to spring for a Roger On3 (formerly Roger Pen) device based on excellent reviews.

At present I have a pair of Widex More BTEs and a pair of Oticon Xceed UP BTEs with removeable batteries. Is it much of a hassle to make Roger compatible with non-Phonak devices? What is involved? Thank you! //Steve

Steve, this is something I would like to know as well.

I was given a trial with a Roger on with my current HA (Danalogic) which has limited access to Roger on, for instance, extend range and something else I cant remember now!

Hopefully, someone can answer this for us.

Hi, did you mean the Widex Moments? Widex has a Sound Assist device that has several different functions that you may like to look into. I think my son used the fm dex as an intermediary device to stream his Ric Moments to the Roger devices.

The only option to keep Bluetooth running is to use an Oticon EduMic.

Hassle is in the eye of the beholder. I’ve never tried it but you’re going to need an intermediary device and a way to connect the Roger On to it. It’s hard to beat the ease of use with a Phonak or other Sonova compatible aid.

Check this roger configurator:

If your hearing aids have the telecoil, a Roger neckloop would be a solution

If your aids have t-coil, get a Roger neck loop.

You can get a “shoes” to fit on the xceeds which take Roger X receivers. This cuts off bt, but lets you use the Roger mics.

Not sure what your other aids are? Widex or Oticon more. There’s probably a way, esp if they have tcoils.
