Resound Smart Fit Software Download

Hi!
I’m new to this forum so greetings everyone!

I’ve been asking my audiologist if their is any way to get this program so you could tinker with the hearing aids at home but she has said that it’s strictly for audiologist so I’m very happy to have found this forum and thread!

So I’m gonna start with buying a Noahlink but my question is, is there a version of Resound Smart Fit for mac and if so could somebody send me a download link to it?

Welcome to the forum, sure it’s available but it’s windows based only, so you’ll need bootcamp or some other virtual machine software to run on Mac OS, also the Noahlink won’t work an any ARM based PC’s.

Replying to this thread instead of creating new.

I am trying to get the resound, connexx, and Philips software to play around with at home. Thank you in advance for any assistance

Hi there, yeah this is good way to get familiar with what your HAs are capable of, but I wouldn’t buy HAs based on how good or bad the software is.

Hello, I have Resound Nexia 9’s on order. I am actively researching best price and where to purchase a noahlink. Could you please send me a link to download SmartFit?

Welcome to the forum, sure it’s available, as for Noahlink wireless,it seems eBay and Amazon to be pretty cheap at the moment.

hello
anyone can send me the last version of resound smart fit

thanks

Hi there, sure it’s available, of course you’ll need the correct hardware for any DIY projects.

Hi All,

I have a 2 part question.

1) Noahlink & ReSound Smart Fit (Ver1.17)

I have the Noahlink hardware, and ReSound Smart Fit (ver1.17)software installed as I am looking at trading in my Phillips 9040’s for Jabra Enhanced Pro ITE’s. I was successfully able to access my Phillips via HearSuite and make the changes I needed (Adding Tinnitus support that Costco will not add). I am hoping if I will have the same type of access with the ReSounds.

Has anyone tried the programming the Jabra Enhanced Pro ITE’s? These are the custom molded ones?

2) Noahlink and Noah 4 Software

Does the software for Noahlink, Noah 4 have to be installed? It does not appear that Phillips required it (the backend DB), but I am unclear on if ReSound Smart Fit does. I have tried installing the standalone installer, and without. Without, the Noah 4 software loads, which wants me to register my device (21 days remain). I have purchased it new from Amazon, and cannot find any registration as “proof of payment”. Do I even need to use the software? As this was an Amazon purchase maybe that is missing? Anyone who has had experience with this please let me know. If I can remove the Noah 4 software, and use the ReSound SmartFit / Phillips HearSuite apps then I can do that.

Thank you!

Jeff

You’ll be fine with the Jabra RIC but I don’t know if the ITE types are BLE which is needed for Noahlink. What is the exact model your getting?

No definitely not, you do not want or need this software, it’s for the clinic’s to use, you only install SmartFit in “standalone mode”

All you need to do is tick the check box when installing, it’s that simple, so try again and let us know how you get on.

Hi Tenkan - Thank you for the quick reply!

It looks like the Jabra Enhanced Pro ITE’s support BLE:

https://www.jabra.ca/supportpages/jabra-enhance-pro-compatibility

"Bluetooth® LE Audio Streaming & Auracast™
Jabra Enhance Pro 20 hearing aid users with compatible Android smartphones*, can connect to the next generation Bluetooth LE Audio and Auracast broadcast audio. Bluetooth LE Audio provides enhanced performance with hands-free calls. Auracast broadcast audio will enable new audio experiences in private and public places, making the world more hearing friendly and accessible for everyone.

Jabra Enhance Pro 20 is the industry first hearing aid to connect to Bluetooth LE Audio and Auracast. Users with compatible Android devices can gain immediate access to both hands-free calling and Auracast broadcast functionality.

*Hands-free calling and Auracast broadcast audio works with Jabra Enhance Pro 20 and compatible mobile devices with Bluetooth 5.3 or later and the latest Bluetooth LE Audio streaming protocol."

All good, I knew the RIC/RIE do, but you mentioned those ITE types are the same BT, I can’t find the anything about them? When I googled only RIE models came up, cheers

I’m certain they will support NoahLink Wireless and BT more generally. Apart from anything else, a physical fitting wired connection would take more space in the aid and also mean that remote fitting and app control couldn’t work. I can’t see Resound going backwards like that!

Oh absolutely, we all knew ReSound was doing this long before anyone else, remember they came up with the Airlink, which everyone now knows as the Noahlink wireless, but I was curious about the Jabra flavoured, as couldn’t find it.
Actually speaking of Noahlink, has anyone seen or heard more about Noahlink 2? It’s was supposed to be released some months back.

All I’ve seen is this FAQ from HIMSA’s website

There is also a User Guide

And there’s an announcement about the intended release of the NoahLink Wireless 2 in Sept 2023, but it’s behind a registered readers only barrier so although I can see it in Google, I can’t get in.

I am still waiting to get the exact model number from Costco to dig more into this before purchasing and returning my Phillips 9040’s. Curious to know if they are using the ReSound Smart Fit App as I did not see any custom fitting models show up in the app.

Thank you all for your replies!

I believe if they support it, they’ll show up once connected, yes the Jabra use the SmartFit software, so when I look at SmartFit I do see custom models, you need to click on the platform (Omina, One or Quattro etc) and you’ll get a drop down menu to choose from.

Interesting! I think they may be 10 series now. I wonder if they use the ReSound Smart 3D app on the client side. Is a newer version of SmartFit?

The software and App are two different things, but I’m pretty sure I read a couple of members were saying they did connect there’s to the ReSound App, but of course it doesn’t matter because Jabra has their own respective App for you to use (same as ReSound but a different colour)

You need SmartFit 1.17 for the Pro 20s/ and Resound Nexia.
