During my wife and I fitting with Jabra Pro 30’s the Costco fitter took us through the set up of both the Jabra App and Hearing Aids in Accessibility - and yes he said do not Enable ‘Optimize MFi’ (iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro)
I’ve experimented with both settings, and the phone-HA connection is only a bit better with MFI not enabled. My phone constantly loses connection even with my EP 10s less than 3’ from the HAs - and usually much less. My iphones are still significantly better than my Samsung S20 5G (Same innards as S20), but I think the ReSound app (with both the Smart3D and Jabra pictures) leaves a lot to be desired, IMO.
I suspect ‘Optimize MFI’ is related to ‘Hearing Aid Compatibility’, which is a setting in the IOS app for HAs. HAC says it will help only sometimes.
To be clear, I’m not talking about general connection stability. I don’t see much of a difference between both settings.
However, starting up the App will take significantly longer if ‘Optimize MFi’ is enabled. The app will be stuck in ‘connecting’ for several seconds each time you start it:
Do you mean the App loses connection - if yes I see that and its a bit annoying but doesn’t really affect functionality much. If needed you can close the App and start it again.
If you mean the phone loses connectivity with the hearing aids. No I don’t see that. The phones connection to my Jabra Pro 30s for calling / streaming is rock solid (as good as my Airpod Pro 2’s).
