For those who have early versions of this product without connectivity, based on my observerations, use the following chart to approximate water removed:
Drying time
<100 minutes = <.5 ul
110-130 minutes= 2 ul to 5 ul
>140 minutes = >5 ul
I wonder if Redux is using the run time to do the estimate of moisture removed. The regular units donāt provide run time to the user. One would have to manually track the time but this is helpful, especially if aids were to get soaked somehow.
Iāve been using the Redux Home daily for almost 3 weeks. The drying time varies quite a bit but it always says āmore than 5ul removedā. Seems like something is wrong.
Turn it on WITHOUT hearing aids inside. If it will display same results - something is really wrong.
Take one aid and look at the earmold tubing if it has any water inside. Run it thru the Bluetooth Home Redux. Then put the aid in a different hearing aid dryer with heat and then run it in the Redux. It should display lower amounts of moisture removed. If itās the same then something is wrong.
Has anyone found a well fitting travel case for the Redux Home? It looks like cases for a HY300PRO projector might work but Iāve not tried.
Has anyone seen these these screenshots yet from the Redux home dryer? Push the button above home in the dry results photo and the real water percentage pops up.
?
Is that the Android app? What do you mean by the button above home?
I have profound loss and wear Phonk Lumity 90 up aids with 3D printed molds which fit very tightly and which have no vent. Before that I wore the Paradise. Endless problems with moisture. Even the zephyr didnāt work. Iāve been using the Redux dryer for several months now and itās an absolute game changer. Worth every penny.
Below where it says runtime and dry. I have an iPhone.
I have the redux home version. The one you posted is the newer version with Bluetooth and connects to your phone app. I have the original home version without Bluetooth. I paid $400 for it and not willing to pay $200 more to get the Bluetooth version and ship the original back to the manufacturer. I am happy with the original home version. Not willing to pay $200 to see results of how much moisture removed.
Also it wonāt remove all the water buildup inside the earmold tubing. A few times, some water was still inside the earmold tubing and canāt take the earmold apart because the tubing is hard. Had to get the tubing replaced by an hearing aid center. They suggest tubing replaced every 6 months.
I take my HA molds out at night manual advises this just put the aids in the dryer. Last night measured 0.9ul. If I leave the molds in Redux runs all night.
Did you ask Redux support why it isnāt removing all the water? That seems surprising and possibly your unit isnāt working properly. There were some issues with earlier units.
It did remove all the water thatās what it removed.
Used a 1 cm wide x 7 cm length tissue paper. Roll it into a thread whereby you will able to push into the tube of the HA to dry the water droplets. Used a blower to blow some air to dry the tube. Leave the HAās in the dryer with opening pointing toward the top. Moisture evaporate upwards and out of teh HAās tubing.
Give it a try.
I have a heated ear dryer that l use to remove the tiny water droplets in the tubing after itās been in the redux dryer. I also have ac powered blower as well.
I donāt see the numerical amount removed (where your screenshots show 4.9 microliters. What version of the app and iOS are you running?
Perhaps see what Redux has to say because water droplets should be removed. Maybe something is wrong such as a bad cap seal or the dessicant not fully regenerating limiting removal capacity. Iām guessing they will replace your unit and want to see what is going on. Canāt hurt to ask.
I clean the o-ring and inside the chamber. Thereās nothing wrong with my unit. Redux dryer donāt remove the water completely thatās inside the earmold tubing until you remove the ear hook. I use a separate heating device to warm the tubing inside.
I use the perfect dry lux for the earmolds and tubes every couple of days works great.
