Separate tests for each ear. I have the H3, and it looks like they are selling the H4 now.
There is a button to turn the eq on or off, to compare, and it’s hard to believe how muddy and dull the “straight” eq curve is in comparison, in my case.
I would like to see the same product designed for us with real hearing loss. They seem to be marketing it as “everyone’s hearing is a little different.” I guess correcting real hearing loss is less cool in the general market. In my case I had to take the test in such a way that high frequencies are completely maxed - and it still could be a bit brighter. Much better than no correction though.
