Question about phonak stick and stay pads?

Hi I am currently having to use phonak sticky and stay to get my hearing aids to stay in my ears by taping them as they keep falling out. Afew times now I’ve nearly lost them does anyone know if there if a cheap way in the uk to get them for under 10 pounds or in bulk for no more than 20 as it is a very expensive way to make them stay and I haven’t got an appointment at my hospital for ent until November when I thought i would bring it up.

@LRav: Doesn’t this suggest that you are using the wrong size of dome? I mean, wouldn’t a cheaper solution be to find the right size of dome that will stay in place better, without this other sticky stuff?

(Edit: Please don’t be offended by my suggestion. I’m quite sure you’ve tried many solutions, however - to my way if thinking, at least - the sticky solution is bound to fail because it doesn’t address the root cause. Have you got any idea of why your domes won’t stay in place ((ie: size/shape of ear canal, odd protuberances, too much slippery cerumen, receiver wires the incorrect length or shape?) Having an idea of what’s causing the issue may lead to a better solution for you.)

It’s likely because she needs the junior ear hooks to stop them falling off/out.

I’m an adult but have to use junior hooks.

@Zebras: Okay. Thanks for pointing out that she wears BTE. (I don’t often read through her entire posts because the absence of punctuation makes me dizzy.)

@SpudGunner my ear canals are short and so the mold gets pushed out easily over the course of the day. I’m only using the stick and stay as temporary solution until my appointment in November.

@zebras I did ask about them and my audiologist went away and came back a few minutes later saying they had changed the hooks for shorter ones. I don’t think they did i think they have just misunderstood me and changed them for the same type. So will ask about junior hooks at my ent in November.

The pictures you’ve showed of your Aids, both your Aid and CROS have adult hooks.

Highly likely your Nathos Nova also has an adult hook as well.

@Zebras thanks it was at my last appointment in August that i asked about junior hooks and the person took them out of the room saying she would be back in a few. They then came back saying they had changed them and at first they seemed to be working but now they are falling out again so I’m not sure if they were changed for junior hooks. The person at my last appointment did seem a bit like they didn’t really know what they were doing when i asked them a few things.
