Audiology Online has a free course named Paradise in Target 7.0 Course:#35579. The course is a video that walks you through the steps for programming Paradise hearing aids. Note that you have to register in order to view the Audiology Online courses. But it’s free unless you are seeking educational credits. Since this is a video, you can Pause/Play and click backwards or forward on the play bar to re-watch parts of the video.

If you are new to DIY self programming, then a DIY School PDF file named (02 How to Program Your Hearing Aids) discusses the basic steps for DIY. This will likely help you avoid some common mistakes that many of us have stumbled across in the past when self-fitting for the very first time.

Another DIY School PDF file named (Choose Hardware-Programming Device for Phonak) has a list of Phonak hearing aid models along with each programming device that can be used for each model. This takes the guess work out of selecting the correct programming device.

The DIY School PDF file named (Fitting Instructions Phonak Target) will help you to learn to use the Phonak Target fitting software. Yes, it contains links to instructional documents (Target User Guide, and such). There are also references to free video courses which may help further your education even more.

If you end up selecting the industry standard hearing aid programming device (Noahlink Wireless) because it is compatible with your hearing aid model, then there may be a few common glitches that you may run into when using Noahlink Wireless. The DIY School PDF file named (Noahlink Wireless - Instructions For Use) will help you avoid these common glitches/problems.

Rechargeable HAs as backups have some issues. The Lion batteries need conditioning if you plan to store them. Also buying used rechargeable HAs from EBay may require battery replacement in the near future. Do you know how difficult (or costly) that is?

It’s the software you have to worry about, not the hardware. The fitting software works on Windows Computers and not on Mac computers.

However, you can run emulation of Windows using Boot Camp or Parallels or such.

But then there is one more wrinkle. The industry standard Noahlink Wireless hearing aid programming device cannot be used on the newer ARM processors because there is no ARM driver for Noahlink Wireless. Talk with some Apple/Mac users about emulation.

ETA: Read a DIY School PDF file named (Noahlink Wireless - Instructions For Use) for a list of computers that use ARM processors and therefore cannot use Noahlink Wireless.
ETA: again :wink: Since ARM/non-Intel processors have no drivers for Noahlink Wireless I guess that means you have to worry about both hardware and software.

My old Mac has become a liability then…I was considering getting a new one. While I have a work pc laptop, I’ll have to give it back when I retire…

  • I think old Mac running Windows emulation would work.
  • Work PC laptop will also work. You can export settings before you give it back.
  • A new MAC may not work if it has one of the newer ARM/non-Intel processors.

I am no MAC expert. Perhaps open a new Topic asking how to run hearing aid fitting software (using Windows emulation) on a Mac computer.

@user228 Take a look at this → Audiology Online reference which is repeated on this thread and is from a DIY School PDF file named (Fitting Instructions Phonak Target). It has a video you can watch.

@user228; Also, were you able to access DIY School without issue? Some ppl get confused by the access. You should be able to simply click the DIY School PDF file of your choice and then view it in a browser tab.

Hey All, I am trying to program my I Costco KS 10, ha’s but am trying to find the Phonaks Target. Can I get that link from anyone? I think its all I am missing, already have my copy of the DIY guide!

Welcome to the forum, sure but don’t forget you’ll need the Noahlink wireless programming device as well for DIY projects. It’s not hard to do ,but a little research before jumping in will help you along.

Please I need the Target Software. Can anyone help with a link. PM me. Thanks a lot. I have the Noahlink and gone through the step by step guide. I also seen a course on audiologyonline. But unfortunately I don’t have the software.
