Phonak SoundRecover2 & speech

For users of the Phonak feature SoundRecover2 I’d like to know how this has enhanced or degraded your ability to understand speech, in particular female speech or young high pitched speech.

Last night after dinner the family was playing a Harry Potter movie. I had a hard time understanding the youths with their high pitched voices and British accents.

I have experimented the last several weeks using the formulas Adaptive Phonak Digital Contrast, Adaptive Phonak Digital and NAL NL-2 - and SoundRecover2 seems to be automatically activated. I am wearing Lumity 90-RT

I opened my session from the Marvel 70-R that I previously wore, and the audiologist fitted me with NAL NL-2 and SoundRecover2 is off. So now I am on that setup for my Lumity 90-RT and about to spend my day away from home and evaluate this fitting.

My audiogram is posted so you can see my loss.

TIA

Your hearing loss is basically flat so SR2 is not putting the high frequencies in to better hearing, like someone with a ski slope loss so it doesn’t work as well.

This is what the audiologist at the hospital told me. :woman_shrugging:
