Phonak Infinio Sphere l90 vs. Starkey Edge AI 24

Debating between these hearing aids. I do have the Starkey Edge AI 24 and love those, but I am hearing a lot of good things about the Phonak Infinio Sphere l90. I never tried them, but I did try the Phonak Audeo Infinio l90 and as far as sound quality it sounded dull to me. What do you guys think?

The main advantage of the Sphere is the speech performance in loud environments. Your hearing loss is mild so I don’t know if this something that is affecting you with your current aids. The Sphere is a game charger, the non-spheres are not.

I don’t think there is an advantage of the non -Sohere vs what you currently have.

FWIW.
I have the Starkey.
Mine perform exceptionally well in loud noisy environments.
Just used them in a very noisy restaurant.
There were seven of us.
I had no trouble understanding everyone.
You should try both and see which one is the best for you.

The audiogram does show mild hearing loss, but my case is a bit different. I am wearing the hearing aid for low gain. My issues overlap with each other bisensorneural hearing loss both ears, apd, tinnitus, tensor tympani, and stapedial myclonus syndrome. So it varies, and on the right ear, I have hyperacusis, so these hearing aids help me by lowering the volume and background noise. I just wasn’t sure what to get. I mean I have Starkeys already, but streaming is not that great with them and the mic is not that great on them either. When people hear me talk on the phone, I sound robotic unless I take LE off, and then have to use the phone as the speaker.

The Phonaks will be better for streaming because it uses Bluetooth classic , they are like wearing regular headphones.
Only way to find out is to try them  .

It is rather suboptimal programming with Spheres. Do they have the same acoustic coupling as Starkeys? Were Starkeys and Spheres REM-based fitted or only one of them? Which fitting algorithms were used in both HAs?

Soon it will be NAL-NL3 fitting algorithm released with module for mild to zero tonal udiometry hwaring loss. It will probably be since autumn 2025 or the beginning of 2026.
