How does the sound quality compare to the Lumity 90 in quiet environments?
I am glad about info of battery life.
EDIT: @Psocoptera, maybe it would be ideal hearing aid for our sometimes 24h work.

In calm quite, I can’t really tell much difference, but I have been using power domes until Phonak gets my Cshell order straightened out. Because of the lack of proper earmolds, I don’t think I really know yet.
Comments on this statement I just received from a local audiologist? (still debating where to go and what to upgrade to for my next hearing aids).
“,there’s a shortage of the Infinios and orders are coming in slowly. My boss has tried the Infinios and could not tell a difference between the Infinios and the Lumitys, which were released in 2022. I haven’t fit any yet.”
I assume that this statement is in reference to the plain Infinios without Sphere?
Yes, the plain Infinios which is my assumption.
Actually I just heard back from her because I asked that question. She said he tried both and wasn’t impressed with either of them or with the dual chip in the Spheres!
Wow! And Infinio still uses autosense, which I found to be clunky and awkward when I trialed Lumity. And battery life stinks. They have a ways to go with this product.
The Infinio Sphere’s are really impressive. Not sure your audiologist knows what she is talking about or prefers to push other products that she is more familiar with. Might want to get a second opinion.

That is exactly my feeling, and I also don’t feel comfortable being the first person she fits with Infinio hearing aids. I went to see this audiologist in July and they were pushing discounts on lower level Lumity. I postponed ordering new hearing aids when I found out on this forum that Phonak would be coming out with something in August.
If I went for Infinios, I’d definitely disable Autosense. It just isn’t for me
Interesting… I’d like to know why people don’t like Autosense. I’ll be upgrading from 6 year old hearing aids.
I have worn Phonak for a long time and don’t have a lot of issues with Autosense but I can understand people who do. Autosense can go spectacularly wrong if your fit is wrong, in my view. For example, about 10 years ago I was fitted with ITE Virto aids which did not have enough gain. Everytime there was noise it would go into the comfort in noise or speech in noise program and it would then be deathly quiet, which was totally annoying. The situation was rectified when the gain/output was altered upwards.
Other situations are when it is in the wrong mode, particularly surrounding music. The latest Autosense 5 has got better in that it will go much quicker into the music program. But it used to be that it wouldn’t select the music program at all, for example in the car, or when in the music program, it wouldn’t stay for very long.
On the whole though, I find it is OK. It depends on what your issue with it is - if it’s with the aggressive noise cancellation with Phonak, causing switching to different programs, then the noise handling can be adjusted in Target to be less aggressive.
During my 2 month trial with Lumity, I found that autosense made changes even when there was no change in the noise environment. And when it did make changes, the change was not smooth. It called attention to itself by being abrupt or making a noise. AutoSense is one of the main reasons why I didn’t keep Lumity after the trial.
Autosense has been around for a while in Phonak aids, but I only noticed it in my (UK NHS) Marvel hearing aids in October 2022. They’re M70s, so they Autoswitch between 4 (IIRC) settings. I’ve had P30s that only switch between 2 settings (Calm Situation & Speech in Noise). Anyway, in all cases, the Autoswitching has caused more issues than it solves. I usually socialise in bars, with people chatting all around. On too many occasions, Autosense will “cut in” and reduce the clarity of the voice I’m trying to listen to. I just found it gets it wrong more often than right. I also found it dangerous while walking outside, as it Autoswitches to a setting that reduces traffic noise.
If you think you may be in this camp, don’t despair, as it can be disabled, or moved to a secondary programme, with your favourite programme as startup. Each element can be customised in both its gain structure, or programme options. Every pair from Marvel (2019) onwards can have at least 3 additional programmes made up from many choices. Programme options include: Beamforming (direction of sound), Noise Reduction, Speech Enhancer, Echo, WindBlock, WhistleBlock. So, for example, if you don’t like Beamforming in a Speech in Noise programme, it can be removed.
Many on here love Autosense, and just leave it to do its magic. I’m not one of them, but I do use (up to) 3 additional programmes, and switch between them (2 second button press) when a situation arises. You don’t need to open the app for this.
I’m assuming the Infinios Autosense6 works on the same principles as Autosense3 and Autosense4 (my experience).

By touching the button for 2 seconds, I go from automatic to the last one chosen by the app and that’s it. That is, while from the app I can choose any of the 6 programs that I have stored, from the button on the HA I can only choose one program: is there a way to scroll through them all?
I get that, but if a Bluetooth notification interupts, it defaults back to Automatic. The App, to me is a last resort, as fiddling with my phone during a conversation can appear rude. I don’t need any of that with manual switching.
This is not true. In addition to the 5 programs created by the hearing care professional, there is another “cinema” that I created, which I can access from both the app and the HA. However, while from the app I can switch from one program to any of the other 5, from the HA I can only switch from the automatic program to the last one previously opened from the app.
This with the P90 312
Ok let me get this right, your saying you have 6 programs in the app and one of which you made and called “cinema” and now this program is somehow transferred permanently to your HAs? So if you turn your phone off are you still able to access this “cinema” program or if you turn your HAs off and then back on again you still have this “cinema” program, seems interesting.
Exactly.
If I turn on the cinema program and turn off the HA, when I turn them back on they are still on cinema. But if I touch the button for 2 seconds, it goes to “automatic,” I touch it again and it goes to “cinema”: I can’t go to another program like I can with the app.
I’ve found that the App created programmes are accessible from the hearing aids (when I had some), but you don’t hear the notification beep on changing.
The downside to this is if your base programmes are alterered in Target, all App based programmes disappear. So, if your “Cinema” programme is based on “Calm Situation”, and that programme is adjusted in Target, your Cinema programme would go.
