Phonak Audeo I90-Sphere vs ... something with mfi and with normal battery not rechargeable?

Hi, I am in the process of testing the Phonak Audeo I90 Sphere and I am desperate because I miss mfi (made for iphone) so much, the bluetooth connectivity in these hearing aids is terrible. Speech understanding actually is better but I miss the settings like resound has. My old hearing aids are Resound Enzo EQ598-DWT and I love the mfi bluetooth options (definitely more stable than phonak). The question is whether there are currently hearing aids that are of similar quality to phonak but having made for iphone mfi but preferably without a rechargeable battery?? Thanks a lot.

Well that’d be every other brand on the market  but seriously why have you gone Phonak, one would think you’d stay with ReSound as you liked them so much, have you got a Costco nearby, as you could trial what they have to offer and only the premium models are sold, save a bundle as well!

Resound has so far not released any new model that can compete with Phonak… :frowning:

I had lots of issues with the Spheres, especially connectivity. Went with Oticon Intents and am very happy. Mfi makes a big difference. Like you, I wanted to hold out for replaceables and felt forced to compromise. But I gotta say I’ve had no issues with the rechargeables. (I did get a Smart Charger for backup but haven’t used it except to try it out)

I also find the tech is much better and much less disruptive/stressful

They have indeed, in fact any other HAs can and do “complete” with Phonak and any other sonova products, you make it sound like Phonak is somehow “better” then all the others, you may have missed Vivia from a couple of weeks back.

I just got a pair of I90 Spheres a few weeks ago and find the Bluetooth connection to my Samsung phone excellent. Its faster and more solid than my old KS9s and has more range.

Having said that, if you want iPhone connectivity without a rechargeable battery, look at the Starkey Edge AI 312.
