Are you on firmware 1.4.0 and iOS 16.0.3? Given your report I just tried everything one more time. I unpaired my Mores from my Android phone, deleted Oticon ON there. Then unpaired the Mores from iPhone, deleted Oticon ON and Oticon Remotecare apps. Hard booted my iPhone and paired again. Not pairing it to Android this time. I hope I can replicate your experience and success!
Edit: And it took less than half an hour to fail again.
I used my Noalink Wireless to upgrade my MORE 1s to 1.4.0. My iPhone 13 pro max is updated to version 16.0.3 (20A392) I had BT issues immediately after I updated the HAs to 1.4.0, so I unpaired and repaired my HAs and voila! Bueno! Iāve not had an issue since. Other issues in life? Yes. More 1 issues? No.
I am on IOS 16ā¦0.3 and firmware 1.4.0 and only experience the disconnects when both the iPhone and the iPad have bluetooth turned on (have paired my Moreās with both devices). Turning off bluetooth on the iPad releases the HAs to connect back with the iPhone. In fact, it doesnāt seem that they ever disconnect fully, they are just not accessibleā¦
I am now going to disable handoff (it was enabled before) to see what happens).
So i guess im not experiencing what others are⦠since handoff never worked for me anyway.
I had the firmware updated a week ago and Iāve been having connectivity problems all week. When I first turn the hearing aids on, they work okay, but after a while, my iPhone doesnāt see the hearing aids, even though the app sees them and can adjust volume, program or whatever. The connectivity with the ConnectClip is also dropping out. They are almost unusable for streaming. I will be going back to the audiologist on Monday.
Thatās not good. The hearing aids are basically useless like this. They donāt stream using the connect clip and they wonāt stay connected to my phone. I hope Oticon has a fix soon.
This is the first time that I have heard that they donāt stream by way of the connect clip. Have you tried forgetting the aids on the phone then connecting the aids to the connect clip and the connect clip to the phone. This will test to see if it is something in the way the aids are dealing with the phone and app.
I have tried completely unpairing and re-pairing them. Streaming from the ConnectClip drops out so much that I canāt use it. This is since upgrading to the latest firmware. I will be going back to the audiologist on Monday to see if they can do something, but if itās not possible to back out of the latest firmware, Iām not hopeful.
I agree with you, Seems the same to me.
If you go out of Bluetooth range of your phone it does not re-establish connection and only streams to one or the other or neither.
Restarting the HAs restores streaming.
The Connect Clip fading can be cured by unpairing the Connect Clip in the HearSuite programming software. Click the button next to paired devices and unpair in the box that pops up. You can see this on the Save and Quit screen under Finish Session.
I donāt have the HearSuite programming software, so Iām stuck having to visit the audiologist.
The ConnectClip was unpaired by the audiologist at the same time that the firmware was updated. In fact, unpairing the ConnectClip was the reason I visited the audiologist in the first place.
A few days before, the ConnectClip stopped working with one of the hearing aids altogether. I wasnāt sure if it was the pairing between the hearing aids and the ConnectClip or between the ConnectClip and the PC. I cleared the pairings with the PC and re-paired. Then it switched from the left not working to the right not working. After that, I was stuck, so I went to the audiologist.
This is the second time Iāve experienced the problems with the pairing between the hearing aids and the ConnectClip. It happened previously with my Opn S hearing aids. I wish it was possible to clear all of the pairings of the ConnectClip without having to visit the audiologist, not just the pairings with the PC.
I donāt have a connect clip, but if itās like some others, you can just plug it into your USB port and it will show up in the software, try it and see what happens.
If the issue is isolated to the Oticon app (V1.4.0), youāll need to reach out to them directly to look into this with you further. After talking with Oticon app developers. They instructed me to go to settings, accessibility and unpair my hearing aids, then restart my iPhone 12 and then close the battery compartment of my hearing aids then make sure Bluetooth is on and start the Oticon app (refer this post).
Hope this helps any who have experienced this problem.
That is their standard instructions. It may work for a little while but it doesnāt fix the issue. After talking to my audiologist, the VA Oticon rep, and an Oticon hearing aid developer I am convinced it is an issue with the 1.4.0 firmware. They hopefully will have a fix before the first of November which is the contract renewal date for VA contracts.
Hi @kellywoods524! I have done the unpair/pair trick countless times now. As @cvkemp said, it seems like something is going on with this new firmware 1.4.0.
@michael.letizia@jcw11: I had the bluetooth disconnection happening while I worked with my phone next to me; and was able to stream music without any issue after being very distant from my iPhone (outside the building running some errands).
@darylm: please let us know if your audiologist offers you some clue as to how to fix the problem?
