Oticon Easy LE Adapter available in Europe

I’ve never used the TV Adapter (any version) so I don’t have experience with that. For what it’s worth, after the HAs have been connected to the Pixel and I want to connect to the PC, I just turn off the Pixel BT and then insert the FMA120 dongle into the PC and the HAs are connected. When I want to connect back to the Pixel I just remove the dongle from the PC and turn the Pixel BT back on. (All of this is after I paired the FMA120 to the Pixel with the FlooCast software.)

I paired my Intents to my Easy LE Adapter once and I am able to plug it into any device and it just works. Not had to pair again following the initial pairing.

Even if I’m connected to my iPhone using MFi, it just takes the connection once I start streaming using it.

Once I have removed the adapter, my iPhone automatically takes back the connection.

Thanks…That gives me hope … guess it’s taking awhile for the Easy LE Adapter to make it across the ocean to the U.S… haven’t heard back from my audiologist yet… I assume you need the 1.2 INTENT firmware to use the LE Adapter?

Yes, firmware 1.2.1. No issues with the update either. One of the reasons they released this adapter is so if there are any issues with iOS or Android updates (as there usually is), this will bypass those issues directly, which is reassuring.

I finally heard back from audiologist - she said it took awhile for Oticon to get back to her, but here’s what they said… seems like something’s missing from this quote, but it does appear LE Adapter is available in US now… I’m going in next week to get firmware update for the INTENTs …I forgot to ask her if this firmware update enables Auracast as well … I’ll ask her when I see her…

This is what Oticon said when she asked them:

"Thanks for the email and sorry for delay. LE Adaptor and updated Genie are ready now.

LE Adaptor with Intent products."

Thanks for the update. According to @e1405 no Auracast with this update. Suprising to me, but I guess they’ll add it at some point.
My carrier just had a big sale on the Pixel 9 for $399, so I made the jump.
I’ll still probably get the LE Adapter for my PC.

My audiologist said Oticon has the Easy LE adapter for $56 … seems like a good price… hope it’s the actual adapter … stay tuned… my appointment is Wednesday (4/9) for INTENT firmware update (1.2.1) …

That’s a great price, right in line with the commercial dongles.

Almost seems too good but I’ll see Wednesday. Fingers crossed it’s the right one.

I upgraded the firmware on my Intent 1 HAs last Friday and the connectivity to my Easy LE Adaptor has become less stable. Previously it was great but now if my recently purchased HP AMD Ryzen 5 laptop is either turned off or goes into Hibernate mode (e.g. if set when lid closes) I then have to press the “Remove” bluetooth device and physically remove the Easy LE Adaptor before it will reconnect to both HAs. Perhaps I’m doing something wrong but the firmware upgrade seems like a retrograde step for the Easy LE Adaptor connectivity.

I have firmware 1.2.1 in my Intent 1s. Weird that new stuff is using older firmware. It doesn’t say 1.2.0 or newer.

So what does f/w 1.2.1 add? That what is install on my Intents

here’s a link to the update information:

Amazon has the Oticon Easy LE audio dongle for $99 dollars here in the USA.

I was at the VA Tuesday, and ordered mine, should be here in 2-3 weeks.
They’re still running Genie 2 2024.2! It did have the Intent update.

My INTENT1 aids are functioning perfectly on the older firmware so I am not rushing to get the update. I am more focused at this time at helping my vision. And i am making greater progress than I thought possible. I have extremely dry eyes and macular degeneration.

Wishing you the best on your vision issues, Chuck.
My late mother had MD, and it definitely is difficult to deal with. Hopefully you have a great retinal specialist treating you.

On the Intent topic, I noticed Companion still showed f/w 1.1.1, so I fired up the new Genie2 2025.1, and sure enough, they were not updated.
I went ahead and did the update, so when I get the adaptor, I’ll be current.

My belief is that the latest Gene2 needs a newer version of Microsoft Windows than what the VA has. I also know that due to security requirements it will take an act of congress to get updated computers. As more than likely the VA computers are so old that they will not run the newest Windows

I would think they probably have Windows 10 Enterprise which is probably good for another 5 or 6 years. In the meantime, they certainly could run genie 2 2025 on Windows 10 because that’s what I’m doing at home. So I’m not giving them any slack!
As a matter of fact, my desktop machine that I use for genie is too old to run Windows 11 also

I am retired now but I was a Microsoft Certified System Engineer at Dell Computers and Windows 10 was out when I retired. The computer systems at the local VA clinic are probably at least 10 years old. But when I retired I also retired from everything Microsoft. I was so burned out. I now only use Android phone and tablet.
