Hi i am receiving the Easy LE Adapter tomorrow. I have Oticon Intent 1 on version 1.2.1 firmware. For those who already have it, How do you like it? what are you using it for?
I do basically everything I would use a headset for in a PC. I can use it for work calls(both sound and microphone). I also use it for gaming.
- it drains the battery very fast, I never had problems with the duration, but today after 15h runtime it has showed a resttime of 50min, fortunately the charging is very fast, 5 min charge and I have +5h runtime
- when the adapter is working then no sound comes from the phone, this is not a big problem for me because i hardly geht phonecalls but sometimes a little bit annoying, when you want to listen to musik during working time
- it seems that there is a conflict with the phone bluetooth, because sometimes the phone jerks
- after you unplug the adapter (unfortunately there is no on or off switch) the BT volume on your hearphone is at max, this is very very annoying and hurts if you forget to pull the volume down.
hopefully there will be soon an update to fix some of those bugs.
btw if you want to use handsfree in a loud environment then this is not the best option as there is no noise cancellation and the opposite can hear everything that you hear, today I was opposite form my collegue and he told me he could hear him and also the person far away through my micro.
Got the Adapter today. I am just using it to play sound from my PC to my hearing aids. It was easy to pair, and the sound is very nice while playing videos. My hearing Aids are still working for sounds around me while streaming. That is good in case someone wants to talk to me. I do not have an android phone so i will be limited to using it with my PC. Would this be needed with an Android Phone to stream sound or does android already connect with LE audio?
Most androids have ASHA, which is streaming for hearing aids, but only one way phone calls, so you have to use the phone’s mic.
The Easy LE Adaptor allows 2 way hands-free calls on those devices provided they have a USB C port.
The Google Pixel 7 to 9 series and Samsung S23 to S25 series support LE Audio, so they don’t require the adaptor.
