Oticon Chili

Oticon will release perhaps @ euha, something call Oticon Chili which will be the
World smallest super power it will be batery #13

It will have
1- Speech guard
2- nano coating
3-speech guard
4- spacial noise managament
5- new fitting algorithm call DSEsp
6- binarual sincronization
7 connect line compatible
8-on board VC.

I like to see this one…

When will this come out and how does it compare with Agil Pro?

this will not be cheap… Sounds very similar to Agil

Im thinking this will NOT have a large bandwith!!!

Will it be thin tube discreet fit, RITE or both…wondering

it is a sumo replacement with #13 batery… meant to compete with naida
phonak will really suffer

Phonak will also be looking to preview Exelia Arts replacement at EUHA this year… Wonder if they will react to this new aid from Oticon

Im sure Phonak priority is not a new super power, but some sort of new
high end instrument. So Oticon will have the lead here. Phonak will have
a very hard time trying to compete against the kinda big phonak

Well, actually, Phonak’s advantage is that they have the SoundRecover. Does Oticon have a similar technology?

Oticon is adding speechguard here, which is a key feature in Agil. It is all about
signal preservation (integrity). A new fitting algorithm is also out with this
product DSEsp - which could take dead regions ( we will know about this when the product get released). THis is a naidia killer for sure

what’s Speechguard BTW?

Speech Guard is a unique dual analysis signal processing technology that continuously evaluates incoming sound signals BEFORE they are amplified.

Speech Guard consists of two parallel analysis functions. One analysis function monitors the long-term, overall level of the input and adjusts the gain of the hearing instrument accordingly. This places the full dynamic range of the speech signal within the user’s remaining dynamic range. If the overall level of the incoming speech signal goes up or down, appropriate gain changes are made.

The second analysis function monitors sudden large changes in the signal. If such a change is detected beyond the moment-to-moment fluctuations that are expected in the speech signal, an instantaneous, momentary adjustment in gain keeps the sudden sound from becoming uncomfortable or distracting.

William Demant : William Demant’s capital markets day did not offer any major surprises. JB: We maintain our REDUCE recommendation as at this point in time the valuation does not look attractive. The theme of the day was a general presentation of the company, including the minor areas such as Bernafon and Diagnostic Instruments. One of our focus areas was the market’s reception of the new high-end product Agil. The feedback from customers and dealers has been positive over the first 2½ months the product has been on the market, and the launch went smoothly contrary to the launch of Epoq. CEO Niels Jacobsen characterized the launch as successful and he was happy about production as well as sales. William Demant took the opportunity to introduce Oticon Chili, a product in the Super Power category to people with severe loss of hearing. Hence the gap in the product programme will be filled, and also the current Power product, Sumo, is one of the oldest products in the product portfolio. Despite the fact that it is a small product area, it is interesting, as it will not cannibalize own products such as Agil will do in respect of Epoq and Dual.

A super power with a #13 battery should be something we have not seen before.
this would bring up to date the sumo. While it is a good instrument, it is an oldie.
If the size is small this would make the guys @ stafa seriously worry. Which Im sure they are…

The Phonak Nadia SP operates with a #13 battery.

Hoping for the thin tube discreet option in the Chil Oticon software. But i doubt it.

As a side note, i am wondering what the language meaning of the name assigned is.
Chilli to most means a dish, mostly hot.

Go to the last page of this PDF and you’ll see Chili Peppers. Guess they’re trying to say these are the hottest new power aids out there.

Hey thanks for that.
Pg 25
Super Power users are also looking for
discreet modern design.

Looks are also important, and even more important is reliability.

i thoink it will be compared to the ultra power, which is big…

ultra power is a 82 db of gain, which chill should have. Already the Rise power
covers up to about 110 (so they say)
