New Oticon More 1 hearing aids

It may. I am still trying to learn for when I pickup my More 1 aids on Monday.

Some single button would be much more convenient though.

On the iPhone, you can adjust Mic volume and other things together.

I just set mine to work on their own as my left doesn’t really pick up much compared to my right Altho my right is pretty bad as well, haha.

I am way too familiar with those buried settings. I have had to use them regularly for 3 years when switching between my MultiMic ( like a ConnectClip) and my phone streaming because Rexton did not update their firmware to be compatible with Apple iOS changes. Rexton’s official workaround was to restart the aids.

With my new More I was looking forward to not need to regularly use those.

@prodigyplace

The Phonak App was so rubbish in terms of ease that I never used it.

All these features on MFi HAs / iPhone are quite fun but maybe in a few months, I’ll stop using them.

Congrats on getting new Oticon hearing aids.
I use the MFi settings and the settings in the ON App everyday on both my iPhone & iPad. I currently wear the More1, so the features may be different, but I’ve worn many generations of Oticon thru the years.
The TV Adapter is the accessory worth getting.
My suggestion is to reboot your iPhone often, and swipe the ON App off your phone (essentially refreshing) every day or when switching between iPhone & iPad. I hardly ever have to reboot my iPad.

Why?? I have never had to do that over my 10 years of MFi hearing aids. I pick up More 1 on Monday.

Have you been able to switch between iPad / iPhone without any issues then?

Do you mean delete?

I have had other firmware related issues with current aids but am looking forward to getting Oticon More 1 on Monday.

Regarding suggestion to rebooting iPhone -
I don’t know why exactly or what it does. It was a general recommendation from Audiologist.
I reboot if things act slow or glitchy or every couple days. Easy to do, so I do it. And like I said before, I have no issues with stability or connection, or blue tooth issues.

No - not delete. Just swipe it off - closes the App.
Refreshes the App to open again.

Sometimes it hands off with no issues, but I can’t count on it to. I am in the habit of turning off Bluetooth - not un-pairing - just touching the blue Bluetooth icon.
Once the streaming starts on the iPad, my habit is to turn Blue tooth back on the iPhone.
I have not updated my Firmware yet - I am still running 1.3.0.
It works perfectly, so I am hesitant to make a change.

Force quit or force close

Force close an app in iOS

WH

You state that you cannot count on your Bluetooth to hand off reliably and then state you have no issues running 1.30 firmware??

That sounds very contradictory to me.

Okay I decided to post this here,I emailed this to my audiologist and then to Oticon engineering. This is working good for me.

My hearing aid settings for streaming from iPhone and iPad

More1 aids, firmware.4.2

iPhone 13 mini IOS16.3

iPad generation 9 IOS16.3

I have my aids paired to both the iPhone and iPad and Bluetooth and enabled. I can stream from either the iPhone or iPad to my aids, but streaming wise the aids are only available to one device at a time. Control Panel wise I can control my aids from either the iPhone or iPad.I don’t have the ON app installed, because when installed it causes connectivity issues when I am trying to stream from the TV Adapter. If my aids show connection to the iPhone and I start streaming say an audiobook from my iPad I will get a slight delay then my aids receive the streaming audiobook from the iPad. The aids say connected to the iPad until I force a transfer of the aids back to the iPhone by either starting a streaming process from my iPhone or if I momentarily disable the Bluetooth on the iPad.

How to setup this arrangement.

I forgot my aids from both my iPhone and iPad then I restarted both. I powered off my aids, I restarted my iPhone and iPad, opened settings on both, then accessibility, hearing devices, and powered up my aids, first I paired my aids to the iPhone, once completed I hit pair on the iPad at first it just thinks about it but will finally pair and you see all of the information about the aids. I have done this a couple of weeks to see if I can duplicate it. I have to say at first it doesn’t look like the aids are going to pair to the iPad.

Next I made use of the following

Audio routing both call audio and media audio set to always hearing devices. This seem important for I haven’t been able to get the streaming to work without these settings.

Control Nearby Devices enabled

Audio handoff enabled

Control on Lock Screen enabled

Disclaimer I haven’t verified incoming calls. My family and friends know to message me.

I have my phone settings to give me voice notifications and read my messages to me. Also I get voice notifications for the few incoming calls.

On the iPhone I have play system sounds enabled

And I have Siri enabled to do certain commands from me like end calls, and reply to messages if I have my focus set for things like driving, which I rarely do because I have my phone paired to our vehicle entertainment system. I have a reminder to set my call auto to automatic when in the vehicle or my calls would go to my aids and not the entertainment system.

I restarted my aids and it no longer worked as it did until i restarted both my phone and iPad

This will work most of the time. I do some times have to reboot my iPad and iPhone

Blue tooth will work on 1 device at a time. Always, only on 1 device at a time. For me, it is a very stable connection - no drop outs, no connectivity issues, audio clear and concise - no static, no delays. Streaming & phone calls excellent.
What it does not always do, is hand off different audio to another Blue tooth enabled device seamlessly each and every time, such as watching a Youtube on iPad and switching to iPhone. This may be a setting within the iPhone - iPad that is preventing this handoff. Phone calls take precedent for me.
As I said, I use iPad & iPhone every day thru out the day. The only thing I do is disable Bluetooth on one device (mostly iPad) and enable it on the other device in the MFi accessibility
control panel. And I have ON App installed on both devices.
I do not consider this an issue running 1.3.0.
I hope you have success with your new More 1’s and they are as issue - free as mine have been.

Right on point V.
Matter of fact unlike the OPN or OPN S when you Mute the Mores you get a descending broooop tone, and the opposite when unmuting. Very convenient.
Of course, you also get the standard Shut Down jingle when doing the long press.

I really didn’t like this when I was trialing the More 1. If this is also present in the Oticon Real, I’ll see if this can be turned off in Genie 2…

It certainly is:
