I’d appreciate a little clarification on how Phonak licenses work.
If you successfully install a license from a Roger On to Lumity 90 HAs, do you need another license if you add another device, say Roger pen? Or is it a scenario that once your HAs have a license you are good to go for all future add ons?
My reasoning is seeing some Roger products for sale on the secondary market but are sold as not having a license. I have a license from a Roger On, but the Roger On died - won’t power up - won’t connect - and it’s far more than the common power switch issue. The reset procedure does nothing.
If you already have a Roger On license in your hearing aids, then I don’t think you will need another iN version or moar license in that hearing aids.
You could just get another Roger On (not iN) and it will vork just fine, but you vill need to pair it.
But if you need to use another hearing aids, then the story is different, in the meant time, that vould be gr8 if you can fix the broken one as back up.
If battery is reading 4 volts I’m skeptical of it being the battery. Lithium ion battery voltage should range from about 3.7 to 4.2 volts so I would think 4 should be fine. However, this is just generically and not specific to the Roger On. IF you’re hearing aids have licenses installed, you should be good to go with any Roger device.
Agreed WH, there are 2 types of licenses, type (03) for Roger on, Table Mic 2, Select, Pen, Clip on Mic… Type (02) also know as Educational, are for Roger Touchscreen, Inspiro, Pass Around the Mic, to name but a few, type (03) only work with certain devices, type (02) work with all Roger devices… Type (02) at present, as far as I am aware, do not come in any, Roger “in” devices, so they must be installed with a Roger Installer… Cheers Kev
