My Noahlink arrived

This might be of interest to exactly one person, but anyway… It’s a Noahlink Wireless 2 from the HappyHearing Hearing Aid store on AliExpress and it came from China within a week and it was the cheapest one I could see. It works with the Philips fitting software but I had to update the software for it to work.

I ordered it to play around with my Jabras which sounded awful. The Jabras went back, so now I can ruin a set of Hearlink 9040s. If anyone has suggestions for funky things I can do I’m all ears. These are loaner aids, so whatever I do will disappear when I give them back.

thanks for the comment

ihave been looking for one and worried about rhe China address.
check the hearing club fellow is posting phillips programing videos.

Thanks for this information. I have been looking to purchase a Noahlink Wireless 2. Seems like a lot of them for sale on Amazon and Ebay are the older version.

I am considering buying it from AliExpress. How does it work now? Any problems?

No problems at all in this case. I got notifications at every step and it just arrived as advertised. It works the same as any other online store. Add to cart…

Great to read. Thanks for response. Probably I’ll buy tomorrow.

I just ordered the Noahlink Wireless 2 from HappyHearing. I was lucky enough to buy it for ~$150 (normally $179). Only today the price dropped.

I ordered one a few weeks ago from Amazon, but they kept pushing out the delivery date. I cancelled and ordered from AliExpress on 9/15 with a promised delivery of Oct. 1st. We’ll see.

The device arrived in one week. I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly it made it to MA from China.

Now the work begins to learn how to make DIY adjustments. The software is a bit intimidating, and I don’t want to lose my baseline settings. Slow and steady.

Yes, so this is why I recommend you make up 2 clients, one to save your original audiology settings and the other for your DIY projects.

It’s not so hard really, once you’ve been through a few times you’ll get the hang of it, there’s the simulate/demo mode you play around with just to see what the software is doing when you make changes as well.

@BunsenH if you are just starting out, another great resource is audiologyonline.
You just have to register, and you can take the courses relevant for your HA software.
The courses are free, and the ones I’ve taken (Oticon) have been very helpful.
Your HA website should also have some guides in the professional section, as well as the helpful info @tenkan offered.
Happy tweaking!

Thanks for the encouragement and link. I’ve confirmed that hardware, software, and HA are talking to one another. Made a “Baseline” profile to hold the present programs and another to “play”. I’ll dig into the details today.
