I’m new to wearing my Jabra Enhanced Pro 20 hearing aids. I’m staying in a hotel and noticed that as the elevator passes a floor there’s a loud chime indicating the floor number, probably for people with impaired vision. It seems to be over amplified through my hearing aids. I was even surprised at how loud the sound of popping the top of a soda can sounds in a very quiet room. Do these hearing aids have loud noise protection? If so, how do I turn it on in the Jabra Pro app? Because the Jabra’s are made by GN, those wearing ReSound or Beltone hearing aids may be able to point me in the correct direction since they are also made by GN.
Although Apple’s AirPod Pro 2s didn’t work well as hearing aids for me, they did have a few features that I liked including loud noise protection. They will also automatically switch from iPhone to iPad without having to do anything, and being able to hang up from a call without pushing a button on the AirPods as is required on my hearing aids. Of course, those features could be contained in the MFi software, but Apple is that terrible company with their walled garden, and not open source like someone else.
For everyone on this forum, may the new year bring you and yours health, happiness, and prosperity.
