Jabra Enhance Pro 30 Hearing Aid Issue When Receiving A Call

Recently got a pair of Jabra Enhance Pro 30 hearing aids from Costco, and the issue I noticed is that when receiving a call, I cannot hear the speaker through the hearing aids. I have to take off the hearing aids on the call screen and use the speaker in order to hear the speaker. Now, if I did the call, then it works fine. Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a fix to this?

Sounds like a setting on your phone, so you get the choice to choose when the call comes through, you got the LE Audio set up correctly?

I am not exactly clear what you are asking.

For me it always goes to my Jabra Pro 30’s when answering a call (whether it’s a phone call, WhatsApp call or a Teams call).

If I want to use the phone speaker to include others on the call I have to switch to speaker on the phone after answering the call.

This is how it is supposed to work.

Edit: As @tenkan said you can also change settings on the phone. On an iPhone in Settings: Accessibility: Hearing Devices: you can set autorouting for calls and or media to Automatic, Always Hearing Devices or Never Hearing Devices. I have mine set to Automatic. I would imagine you have similar settings on an Android device.

What kind of phone do you have? I assume that your Costco hearing aid specialist set up your cell phone connecting it to your Jabra Pro app.

Yep, I have the LE audio setup correctly. I am not sure if it’s just Jabra, but with my Starkey Edge AI 24’s it doesn’t do that.

Ok, I am not sure how to explain it, but what I am saying is when a phone call comes through and I answer it it’s already connected to the Jabra Enhance Pro 30 hearing aids, but I cannot hear anything the speaker says. But if I were to call the person then I can hear the speaker. For me to get it working I have to switch to speaker and back to hearing aids.

I use a Samsung S25 Ultra and the Costco specialist did not setup my phone I set it up myself. I know how to setup the hearing aids on my phone, because I also have Starkey Edge AI 24. I’ve demoed so many hearing aids and I never had that issue with Phonak Audeo Infinio l90, Starkey Edge AI 25, Widex Allure 440, and Oticon Intent 1.

Ok it shouldn’t do that (and doesn’t for me)

If you have an iPhone check you have you have “optimize for MFI” turned off in the Jabra app. My Costco fitter told us not to enable this and there are other posts here about issues when optimize for MFI is enabled.

(By the way I think you are using the word speaker to describe both the caller and the speaker on your phone which is a little confusing)

Ya, I don’t have MFI. Sorry for the confusion. That is how my Costco fitter explained to me that a speaker would be the person on the other line versus speakerphone.

I just picked up my Jabra Pro 30s yesterday and I have the same problem on my Samsung Ultra 24+. Calls I make work fine, calls I receive do not. Did you ever find the solution?

My Costco audiologist did mention that he heard someone with a Samsung Ultra 24 had the same issue. I am unsure of the cause yet, but looking into it. I also reached out to Jabra Support. The only workaround would be to switch to speakerphone and then back to the hearing aids, and that will work.

I have the same problem. I just switched from the 20’s to the 30’s. Many phone calls are too quiet and i cant hear them. Streaming videos are fine. I have a Samsung 23.

Im not having that issues with my S24fe. I get a “chime” when receiving a call, then hear the phone ringing in my aids. I can either tap my aids to answer or use my phone to answer.

When you recreive a call does bt show connected ? See my attached pic showing bt NOT connected. The bt symbol should be green when receiving a call. If its not, try tapping the symbol to connect.

Also, be sure all permissions are enabled in the app settings. If your microphone isnt enabled, it wont work right. I keep everything enabled just to be sure.

Yep, I am told it’s a known issue. Fix would be to pair/unpair the hearing aids or remove bluetooth le audio and utilize classic bluetooth. I use a Samsung S25 Ultra.

It is enabled. I also do see it connected. It’s just some weird glitch. Like if I make the call to the person then it works fine. I can hear the person through my hearing aids. But if they call me the hearing aids are still connected, but cannot hear them unless I switch from hearing aid to speakerphone and then back to hearing aid.

So when this happens, does the bt symbol show in green (showing aids are connected)? I imagine it does since you can hear them. That is odd and not my experience but ive seen lots of connectivity issues depending on phone. Odd that my S24fe has solid connectivity and zero issues while others with S23’s and S25’s are having issues.

Yes, it shows connected. But cannot hear the person speaking unless I switch from hearing aid to speakerphone and back to hearing aid. I was told to fix it is to unpair / re pair the hearing aid or remove bluetooth le audio.

Ya it is odd, but the Costco person that fitted the hearing aids told me he has heard the issue with Samsung S24 and up.
