Last month I was fitted with Jabra Enhanced Pro 20 hearing aids. At my first appointment with my hearing aid specialist at Costco, she gave me a supply of domes, and wax filters for a year. She showed me how to replace them and the domes only. However, my hearing aids have the M&RIE, microphone in ear canal option. While actually reading the Jabra documentation, including their YouTube videos, I discovered that the microphones also have a wax filter, or guard. She said to replace them every quarter. She gave me eight wax guards which is not enough for the M&RIE microphones. One video shoes how to replace the M&RIE microphones’ wax filters, and another video how to replace the M&RIE wax filters. They look identical. Are they both the same wax guard? Is replacing them every quarter sufficient to keep the hearing aids working properly?
