iPhone or Android in 2022?

I was getting the upgrade itch and thinking about 14 too, which beta version was it? Still 3, still waiting on 4?

All I know is that I have the Samsung beta program, my information is that Samsung released it August 1, UI 6 android 14. I haven’t had any issues worth complaining about.

I currently have an iPhone 13, a Pixel 6 and a Windows laptop. I briefly had Phonak Marvels when they first came out, but they had too many connectivity issues, so I switched to Oticon Opn with a ConnectClip. The Opns and the android phone I had at the time didn’t support ASHA, so my connectivity was MFi with the iPhone and the ConnectClip with the laptop. This worked pretty well, although at this stage, I think MFi gave an edge to iPhones for anyone with hearing aids. (I know there are people that like the BTC approach of Phonak, but I’m not one of them.)

Now I have Oticon Real HAs, which support MFi and ASHA, along with the ConnectClip, so I use all three. I find MFi to be somewhat more polished due to the built-in support, but aside from that, the audio quality of MFi, ASHA and the ConnectClip are basically the same. At this point, I think either iPhone/MFi or Andriod/ASHA are close enough that it no longer matters as much which you use.

I agree. Since I upgraded to the latest version of myPhonak and also had my KS9s (Marvels) reprogrammed, I am getting great connectivity and clarity on my Pixel 4a.

IMO, it depends on the phone, the OS level, and the app.

The Jabra app was terminally annoying on my Samsung Galaxy S20 5G, which was not listed as ā€˜compatible’ by ReSound. I bought an iphone SE(2022) which worked almost flawlessly with the app or just the MFi connection. On IOS 16.6, the app on my phone keeps losing its connection. It’s still better than the S20 5G, but I think I might just use MFi and give up the features of the ReSound app that are sometimes very useful until ReSound gets their app fixed.
