Wondering if anyone has experience with the Phonak CROS Silk X?
This would be the near-invisible ITE Silk CROS transmitter in the poor-listening ear/side, and the similar ITE Silk hearing aid in the good hearing ear.
Would be great if this “invisible” hearing solution worked (sorry for my vanity!)
Released over 1 year ago, so would love to hear your positive and negative experiences; as well as any other hearing aid solutions & recommendations for Single-Sided Hearing Loss (SSHL).
Also, wondering if the ITE Silk HA would work with the latest Phonak Roger remote mic device; to utilize in noisy environments. Thanks.
I think you are mixing brands. Silk is a Signia product, not a Phonak product. I have no cros experience, but I think the most common complaints are about rechargeable systems not lasting very long through the day. The new Phonak system may be different, but is very new so it is hard to advise there. But that is a RIC system, not iic.
@WhiteHat Thank you for pointing this out. Yes. I am mixing up Signia and Phonak products!
To be honest, I would only use the CROS set-up for specific situations, like a dinner or drinks, where I know in advance I will be attending and can be prepared. If the battery can last 3~4 hours, should be more than enough.
Therefore, my main question and what I’d be interested to hear about is SSHL users’ direct experiences (or HA Practitioners’ in-direct experience) with Signia’s CROS Silk X solution in such social speech in background noise situations. Thank you.
