Today I received my new Infinio 90-Sphere
I connected to TV adapter just fine, but I’m trying to connect my Roger On.
From the Roger upgrader software the device information is as follows:
Roger On
Firmware 3.0.49742
Hardware 1.0
When I try to connect the Roger On to the Infinio’s the display shows a “link” with a slash thru it and a question mark right below. I looked online at the Roger On PDF manual and these icons are not shown/explained.
I’ve read thru some archived posts, yes this is all confusing. One post stated a pin, located under the clip needs to be pressed however I find no such opening to access a pin.
For kicks, I checked to see if the Roger On will still connect to my Lumity 90s and it does.
Looking for a life line
TIA

The aids need to have licenses to activate the built-in receivers in your aids. If you have a Roger On in, then you could reset the license count ant install them into your new aids. Since the description from the upgrader doesn’t mention the “in” part, it may be that your mic lacks the ability to put licenses into aids.
Do you remember anything about these licenses from when you first got the Roger? The other way the licenses can be installed is to buy small receivers which attach to some aids and other devices and use a tool (usually only seen at HCP’s offices) to move them into the aids. This would have been an additional, separate cost in getting your roger working with your aids.
Hope this helps you understand where you are better, based on what you remember.

The Roger On came with the Lumitys from a third party. Unfortunately, that’s all the info I have.
Like others have mentioned on this forum, given the financial investment, I fail to understand why Phonak can’t make the Roger products compatible with any aid.
Are you using the MyPhonak app? If so check under devices, then product information. It will show whether licenses are installed. As WH said, when you hook your Roger to the Upgrader software and check Read Device Data, if you have a Roger On iN it will show the number of licenses in the Roger which can be transferred. If you only have a Roger On (no iN) you have to buy the licenses separately. The easiest and cheapest way to do that is buy a cheap iN device (Select iN or Roger On iN) on Ebay. Or you can buy two Roger X modules and a Roger installer, but that is probably more expensive.

I am using the Phonak app and it states licenses are not installed for the Infinios.
I do have a Roger Select In. I pressed the tiny button on back (not the connect) and it flashed once green, and once red. I went thru the procedure to transfer the license out of the Lumity and back in the Select In. It appears to be successful as the light flashes green twice when I press the tiny button.
However I can’t connect these to the Infinios. Although the internet says Roger Select In should be compatible with Infinio HAs; perhaps that isn’t true.
The licenses need to be transferred to the infinio before you can connect using the connect button. Based on what you saw on the app, no licenses have been transferred to the Infinio yet. If you have the Roger Upgrader software, check the number of licenses in the Roger by connecting it to your computer with a USB cable and select Read Device Data and then USB assistant. If you have two licenses then you have transferred both licenses from your Lumitys (which was unnecessary). If there is less than two licenses, you should see a button to replace the license(s). Actually more easily, when you insert the pin in the Roger and remove it quickly, the display should show the number of licenses. Once you have two licenses in the Roger you need to go through the transfer procedure. If you need help with that, post and one of us can help.

I sort of got ahead of myself, and was rushing out the door to test the new HAs.
-
Using Roger Upgrader, connected Select In, upgraded the firmware, recovered licenses.
-
Transferred licenses to Phonak Infinio
-
Roger On now working
-
Recovered licenses to Roger Select In again
Thanks for the instructions!!
