Thank you, very useful, and Iāve been here a while
I have been on the forum for over 14 years, and this is still great information.
Well done @AbramBaileyAuD An excellent and comprehensive guideā¦A small guide on how to enter your Audiogram, wouldnāt go amiss please? Cheers Kev
Thanks Kev. We are actually going to streamline that really soon and build a plugin straight into the forum, so will hold fire there! Good call though.
I am really impressed with this Forum. Useful info, polite discussion. On the internet there is extremely little information on HAs that is NOT posted by the manufacturers themselves, so this unbiased resource with comments and experience āfrom the massesā is greatly appreciated!
You are very welcome @AbramBaileyAuD, I am glad you have an āAudiogram Installation Tutorialā in the proverbial pipeline, every little helps, and makes life slightly easier, for everyone new to this forumā¦ Thank you for your reply Cheers Kev
Yeah, I also had quite a problem with inserting the audiogramā¦
In all truth @Bimodal_user, I found installing my Audiogram, a fairly simple process, but some folk need to be, walked through the process, we have lots of folks on here, whom perhaps tend to be frightened of a PC, when in actual fact, itās just a tool, if you make a mistake, itās easily rectifiedā¦ I for one made loads of mistakes over the 20 odd years of using PCās, I occasionally still do, but thatās the learning curveā¦ I recall many yearās ago teaching my Daughter Rosie, from the age of about 6, computer basics, 10 years later, her hands would be moving so fast on the keyboard, they where just a blur, in 3 different chat rooms simultaneously, while surfing the WEB, Rosie is 30 now, and a Wizardess on the PC, it became second nature to herā¦ As for myself, I never changed, I am still a 1 fingered typist, slow, methodical & dyslexic, but we get thereā¦ Cheers Kev
This may be off-topic:
On my computer screen, I have trouble seeing:
1] the grayed out threads that I have read. (they look black)
2] the horizontal line that indicated threads newer than my last visit.
but now, the last visit line is āredā and has the words 'last visit. (donāt remember that from other days)
@AbramBaileyAuD I propose to include the possibility of inserting a WRS and/or QuickSIN score (monaural and binaural), which would be displayed below the audiogram tonal graph. This may be especially helpful when a new user would be eligible for CI rather than HA.
Also how to change your email address please. My service provider canceled my email I used to register here on the forum. As a result I havenāt had a newsletter all year.
Iāve looked and looked, but being useless at IT Iām still trying unsuccessfully.
