mdb. they are vented but have very small vents 2 of them more for comfort but yes this is what they look like i did the steps in the first fitting for them and the recalculations signia domes are a bit different looking and i have them but the hurt my ears so i put these in they have the same number and size vents in them
if you look at the signai closed domes you might see the small vents on the top so i’m thinking they are real similar in funtion. if you think i should be using the signia domes i will get these in the kit and try them. as i could be connexx uses these for there fitting program and it could make a difference? thanks
The biggest concern I have with using non Signia/Connexx domes/click sleeves is that there’s a significant risk of them coming off in your ear. Signia uses a special click on attachment that is unique to them.
What you use is up to you. It’s a compromise between comfort (both physical and the sound of your voice) and how much high frequency gain you can get. The more occlusive fit, the more high frequency gain. I’d suggest the Connexx vented click sleeve and maybe the closed click sleeve.
thanks i will get a set and give them a try or see if the audi can set me up with some vented next week. for what it is worth the phonak domes click in place reaf good i have time getting them off the receivers, but as you say connexx tested this style so next week i will see if the audi will get me a set a bit smaller in size. she started out with the large power domes and then went to the large open domes for a complete 180 . if she can’t get me a set of vented or even closed then i will get some from ebay and see how they work.
for what it is worth that last setting i did by turning on frequency compression at the f min at just above 1.5k and the f max at 2.5k sounds ok, i may test some more in a few days by moving the f min down to below 1.5k in a day or so to see if it helps, but first i will give myself some time in conversations with the wife to see and tv to see if they have improved. thanks
no it does not but at this time the f min is between 1.5 and 2k so what i was saying is if this current setting is still a bit off then i will slide the f min from the between 15k and the 2k and move it to 1.5k and see if that makes it any better. i just moved it for testing the move and it did move, but i put it back. thanks
Does Signia Connexx have a media library? Others do.
Don’t just move fmin to determine if it can be moved. Play some media (example: person talking in a crowded restaurant) while you move it so that you can also get a quick test about how you hearing is affected by the change. Move it back and forth while listening.
pvc i see something but it will not connect. in the personalization section under accumulation manager i see at the bottom a tab for prelisten but it is shaded out and ihave not yet been able to do that as your saying. so i listen to the tv next to me and try to see if i notice any difference, i do just a bit. but that most likely is not even close to doing this with the program. thanks
Well, it’s kinda the same thing as listening to the TV except they have some audio clips like multiple people talking at the same time, female voice, etc. No big deal. I just wanted to suggest that you listen when you make a change.
i have done that with the phonak fitting program so i know what your saying. but i do not seem to have that yet on the connexx fitting program. it may be there and i have not yet found the toggle for it.
so tell me i found a tv streamer it is for the rexton hearing aids. it has all the same number but for one set in the version. the signia is 177482 rev.2 and the rexton is 177483 rev.2 all the other numbers match. so i’m wondering if the rexton and signia may be the same?

ok guys back a bit in this thread 1 or 2 of you told me that the audi would be able to see my changes to these aids in her fitting program yesterday when she connected to them she did not see anything that i did. she looked for my audiogram and it was not in them on her fitting program. she even tried to do the sessions listing and she did not see it. what seemed to happen is when she connected to them it put her first fitting back into them. i could tell because it about tore out my eardrums. she had to turn them down some. i wonder if she has her fitting program setup so when it connects to the aids it automatically puts in the last program she left them at when she disconnected them?
plus we went into audiogram and her audiogram was back in them she could not find mine.
now when i got home i connected them and i saw what she did and sent her screen shots. so i wonder if she has her fitting program set up different? so when we went into file along the top of the program she did not have the sessions in that pull down or save session in there either?
anyway now i have the very first fitting program back in them and will have to re tweak some of that back out. if i would have known that, i would have left the first tweak that i did, as that made them lots better. but after i removed the session lists it never came back and i did not write that down my error. i now have written down all i did.
also she turned off automatic mic in fine tuning and the sound settings the speech and noise management. but last night they again seemed to go off and on with the amplification. i was watching tv and all of a sudden i could not hear anything very well, just as if i took them out. and then it came back, and then 1 or 2 tiems it got louder. so we are both at a loss on where that is coming from, unless i have a bad set of aids.
thanks
No we didn’t tell you that. Your Audi does not see the actual changes. Your Audi can only see that you “made changes” because the settings in the hearing aids do not match the settings in her database. But she cannot look at the settings until she chooses one or the other.
So guess which settings she will use?
your settings from the hearing aids?
her settings from her database?
The Audi will always choose #2, the audiologist settings. Thereafter your settings are gone unless you restore them from a saved session from your database. What else can you expect?
ok, anyway she saw her settings, but not mine. but i see my settings and her settings. she even looked for my settings and did not find them, so she must have reloaded her settings by using the load from database. but i see her settings and my settings on my fitting program as i save hers before i started to setup my preferences. go figure. she even looked for my settings and did not see them, but my guess is what your saying she did not save my settings before she entered her settings.
so this is her settings that she put back. yesterday
now theya re quite loud so i wonder if i remove the mcl line if that will take that loudness away? bing i did not have that on my audiogram? the way i understand that is the aids should not amplify past that line? so is that correct? or is that where they want to use for the fitting?
Yeah that, but why are you trying to use your audiologist settings? you don’t want them, use your own settings.
Yeah they shouldn’t, just so you know, check you MPO, they will not amplified past this.
If you want to make things easier on yourself (others will say otherwise ,but you be the judge on what’s easier for you) you can use extra client’s, one for audiology settings and one for your own.
thanks pvc. those are all expanded in that list for me when i went back to view them i did not see her program but when i went back to 3-12-23 the day i saved her program i see the entries in the session list. also i see my program in that session list also. but she did not have that on her pc in her program so she could not see it. that is fair being the aids do not save all that.
so for now i’m just going to leave her program in them and see how it goes. she did tweak them down some and because they are a bit louder now i will just ride it out for a week or so and see if i can get use to it. if not i can always go to my program and tweak them a bit… i have all the same settings that she does but her audiogram is a bit different than mine as you see and that must be the difference. she did like the sound compressions i told her i did. she did not see that of course but i had photos on my phone so she set them at that level and she did leave the nl-nl2 in them, she told me she prefers the nal-nl2 formula over the axfit formula. but for some reason when she first programed them she used the axfit formula. but now i will let them be. and like i said in a few weeks if i have not got used to the loud sounds like silverware in plates and setting things on the table and such i will adjust them . thanks
tenkan i may be doing that soon. but now i want to find out why they are always changing the volume. and when i’m using the bluetooth that goes in and out. i have a bluetooth tv streamer in the mail and it will be bad if i turn tha ton to watch tv and the tv volume goes up and down and on and off or cuts out like what happens with the phone games i play. it is not bad with the phone games but it will be bad if the mouths do not match the words all the time.
if i have defective aids then i need to get them returned for repair or exchange before the trial goes away.
tell me if anyone happens to know. these aids seem to change the volume lever all the time. the audi turned off the auto settings as i told pvc
now i’m setting watching tv and not only is the bluetooth changing the volume level but the tv gets loud and then i hardly hear it. and the room overall is not changing sound around the area. the windows are closed no talking in the room. could it be that the blue tooth is affecting the sound the aids are getting from the surrounding area
they do this all day long using bluetooth or not. i’m wondering if this is what i can expect from this model device? thanks
On occasion I have noticed bluetooth doing strange things with my Phonak P90’s. Try turning bluetooth OFF completely on your phone and see if that corrects the problem.YMMV
