I’m wondering if anybody here has a hook up to get the cochlear software for calibration … and its hardware . as odd as the question is
I’m pretty sure you can’t, and if you can most probably the software will be behind some kind of Cochlear account authentication. The programming itself might be VERY easy and I’d even say the implantee themselves might fine tune it better because unlike hearing aids, only you can know what your brain is “hearing”.
But probably everyone is stingy about it because it’s an actual implant that goes into ones’ head.
I’m in Australia, I’m also a CI recipient bimodal hearing. Cochlear here in Oz won’t even share the software with their sister company who looks after the HA side of bimodal hearing. This means I have 1 Aud for my HA and another Aud for my CI. Believe me it’s a right royal pain in the butt having 2 AuD’s to manage my devices.
So if they won’t share with the other company to make life easier for the recipients. I’m fairly sure they won’t share with the recipients/family/friends.
