GN introduces ReSound Enzo™ IA the world’s smallest rechargeable Super Power

Ballerup, Denmark – August 12, 2025 – GN, a global leader in hearing technology, announced today the launch of ReSound Enzo IA. In addition to being the world’s smallest rechargeable Super Power hearing aid,1 ReSound Enzo IA represents a huge leap forward in sound quality for people with severe to profound hearing loss.

Understanding speech especially in noisy environments, due to lack of power or poor Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR), is the biggest challenge for Super Power users. ReSound Enzo IA, benefitting from GN’s Organic Hearing philosophy, overcomes this challenge without compromising size or battery life. ReSound Enzo IA allows users with severe to profound hearing loss to access the latest technologies available, including advanced noise management and the world’s best feedback management system providing the most added stable gain.2

“At GN, we’ve engaged deeply with people facing severe to profound hearing loss to understand what truly makes a difference for them. With ReSound Enzo IA you can have it all – we’re empowering people to access the sounds that matter most, enabling them to participate confidently in conversations and stay connected with loved ones, without having to accept compromises in terms of size or battery life”, says Peter Justesen, President, Hearing division at GN

ReSound Enzo IA utilizes a specialized 360 chip that processes environmental sounds in real time, using machine-learning artificial intelligence allowing the device to classify and adapt to different acoustic environments for the best all-round listening experience.3 This approach, which GN calls Intelligence Augmented™ (IA), works by analyzing surrounding sounds and adjusting settings accordingly, reducing the cognitive effort typically required for people with severe to profound hearing loss to navigate complex listening situations.

In noisy environments, Clear Focus, the hearing industry’s most narrow beamformer,4 spotlights speech in front and eliminates distractions, resulting in a 93% preference for hearing in noise for Super Power users, and a significant 2.7 dB Signal-to-Noise Ratio improvement over legacy devices.5

The device offers all-day battery life in the smallest rechargeable Super Power hearing aid. A single charge provides 28 hours of use, or 20 hours when streaming media half the time, allowing users to enjoy their day without battery anxiety, and experience greater independence especially while traveling.

ReSound Enzo IA supports Bluetooth Low Energy (LE) Audio and Auracast technology, allowing users to access audio broadcasts in public venues through their smartphones using the ReSound Smart 3D app. To hear clearly in every situation, the hearing aid is also compatible with the Multi-Mic+ for improved listening in public spaces through Telecoil, and the TV-Streamer+ for elevated TV listening. Additionally, ReSound Enzo IA can connect to two devices simultaneously and enables direct phone call streaming activated by a simple tap of the hearing aid.

*“These life changing hearing aids have transformed my world; without them, I wouldn’t hear anything. Seemingly small technological advancements represent significant improvements that greatly enhance the daily lives of those of us with severe to profound hearing loss. ReSound Enzo IA has enriched my entire auditory experience in ways I never thought possible”,*says Helen Cherry, ReSound Enzo IA user.

ReSound Enzo IA and its Beltone equivalent, Beltone Boost™ Max S, will launch initially in the US and Germany on August 21, with more markets to follow in the coming months.

As I understand the new Enzo AI comes with Clear Focus only , so no Intelligent Focus (DNN) integrated despite rechargable. Why ?

This is really good news. If it lives up to the battery life as a BTE SP aid that’s wonderful.

Now I wonder if Jabra will get this too???

Judging from the photos and short videos, it doesn’t look that small.

Is a datasheet available yet? I haven’t found one.

Any fitting range graph for these bad boys?

Thx

I would be very interested see the fitting range too. Rechargable hearing aid is exactly what Im looking for especially Ive got 18 months old daughter. Im not exactly keen on disposal battery.

The Resound Pro site doesn’t have an English datasheet online but the German site does has a German datenblatt:

(Direct links to the PDF don’t seem to work. Link is just under the EI988-DWHC specifications)

The format looks similar to the English datasheet for the Vivia so that could be used as a translation key until an English datasheet is available:

Seems maybe the max limit is 115dB???

It looks like it has two versions. One with Metal Hook and one with Plastic Hook. What you posted is the fitting range for the plastic hook. The Metal Hook will go to 120 dB for all but the 250 and 500 Hz. I didn’t see any dimensional measurements on the data sheet.

This could potentially replace Naida UP

For the bimodal CI folks I wonder if this aid will be compatible with the Nucleus 8 and Kanso 3.
Maybe even the N7 and K2.

It would force Cochlear to initiate LE Audio as well.

I don’t understand the plastic / metal hook. I see some other GN Aids with the same.

My guess is that they are talking about the hook that connects the body of the aid to the tube. I’m also guessing that the metal hook allows a thinner wall and hence a bigger hole allowing slightly more gain. Purely guessing though.

Thanks for the datasheet. What I don’t understand is the frequency range starting at 200Hz when the previous Enzo Q started at 100Hz.

Is this less than whats Oction Xceed UP offering?

@Sara82

I think it’s roughly the same between this new Enzo and Oticon Xceed UP.

I guess that because plastic absorbs some energy of the high-frequency sound, it causes a roll-off. Perhaps @Um_bongo or @Neville would correct me, if I am wrong.

I have the resound vivia, it is not compatible with cochlear products.

DNN require a chip that only in the 605 series mini ric series… there is no dnn support in the rest of the line…

I thought the Enzo line in general were compatible with Cochlear processors.
Thanks for your help
