Gain increase in myphonak app

I’m using myphonak app to adjust volume but I don’t know how much decibels sliders are. I mean when I slide the automatic program gain one step how much decibel are increased or decreased? And how about soft speech adjustment?

I think it’s 2dB, there’s a discussion on an other thread about this, the volume buttons on your HAs go in 2dB steps, so I’m guessing the App would be the same.

2 dB. Gain is not the same for everyone that’s in a profound range. Profound starts at 90 dB and goes to 120 dB so depending on where you are, in that range will depend. Also it also depends on what fitting formula you use so again, we wouldn’t be able to tell you. Have a look at the software and see what happens when you change fitting formulas! All of the questions you’re asking can be found out from the software that you have! Most of your loss is in the severe range so you wouldn’t have…

I asked this to phonak support and they replied.

They said that each step is 2 db.
I’ve been currently wearing my aids at 1 up at the left and 3 up at the right. So total increase is 4x2=8 db
