Fun Earmold color suggestions

I’m having difficulty choosing Earmold colors,I’ll be getting gold glitter and the rainbow swirl pattern.

Any color combination suggestions?

Did you check out their sample gallery? I show this to my patients to help guide their choices:

Honestly almost everything I’ve ordered from them turns out pretty nicely. I would probably go with the Gel-e-burst, since the clear helps break up the colors a bit. The rainbow/swirl is fine but sometimes the colors get muddied, depending on what you pick!

I’ll either be getting a canal lock or skeleton Earmold most likely. I have RICs but need more occlusion and better retention plus extremely small ear canals which makes larger domes uncomfortable. I looked through the gallery but with so many colors it’s hard to choose especially since I want something that will stand out/be visible. I enjoy loud colors and LOVE decorating my HAs. I specifically choose microsonic since I know they do fun colors and if I went with phonak I’d be stuck with clear.

I agree - Microsonic makes really pretty molds. I have had good luck with them making RICs for my kiddos. Hope you find something you like - the gallery is just suggestions; you can come up with your own thing

Well this is a refreshing topic. Considering all the people that say they don’t want to drawer attention to their aids.

Do you find that custom earmolds work well for RICs with your peds patients? My Aud said “I have the tiniest ear canals she’s seen.” LOL

Honestly I was quite upset I couldn’t get pink hearing aids, mostly because insurance and pricing of the sky marvels. The next color I would have picked was white so we went with the audeo marvels but after ordering was told they did not have white because it was discontinued. I picked silver and love decorating my HAs with stickers, tube twists, charms

Have you tried ear gears?

I haven’t but I have so many hearing aid stickers I tend to change them daily.

I find that people tend to be more understanding that I have hearing issues when my HAs are visible versus discreet because I’m a young adult who doesn’t seem like I would need them.

Yes!! Lots of happy kiddos!

Omg this is so cool.

My fitter went on and on about trying to hide HA and the availability of skin tones to hide and I had to interrupt her, if I have to wear a HA, it can be neon, I’ll rock it . I was sad to see my choices were so limited when we narrowed the choices.

Definitely recommend checking out the shops I linked above!

Seriously had me jealous clicking through all those links thinking I should change types as I have ITE.

Maybe I’m weird but I feel like the hearing centers need to showcase things like this. It would help get rid of the stigma that HAs are for old people. I remember getting my first colorful glasses as a kid and feeling a little better, still hated wearing it but I felt better.

Pimp My Hearing Aids / Cochlear Implants FB Page!

I wish I could get some funky colors. With the Jabra (resound one) there is only one form and the only options other than skin colors is red/blue (right ear is red and left blue ) which I went with. Only having one aid right now it’s just the blue but funky colors would be awesome.

I think when I needed to have Costco remake my molds a number of years ago the aids were Resound. At that time they dealt with multiple vendors for molds. I would expect different vendors to have different color options.

JaaCreations has SO MANY stickers including glitter/shiny ones.

My friend has RIC Aids and didn’t like the limited choice of colours.

She chose 2 x blue but had the Lab ring her audiologist to confirm that she means 2 x blue and not 1 x red and 1 x blue.

I realise you have 1 x Aid now but don’t think you have to get 1 x blue and 1 x red.

I’m glad my audiologist said we could go through a different company since if I went with phonak I would only be able to get clear
