When connect to fitting program, it should automatically prompt you there a new update for firmware (most manufacturer have this).

I think an audiologist has the fitting program. In the app, in Settings, it has a ā€œwelcome to notificationsā€ but I have never received any. I’ll call them tomorrow. Thanks!

If you have Oticon app. You can check the firmware version of your hearing aids too.

Go to hearing aids → click at left or right → you should see firmware show.

If your firmware version is up to date. No notifications.

I don’t mess with whatever is working. I’m still on 1.3 because it has worked great. Have heard 1.4 can be buggy.

1.4.0 is confirmed as buggy. The bug being one aid drops out when streaming as is hard to get back. It’s a ā€˜don’t do it’ upgrade right now with Oticon estimating early Dec for a fix.

The fitting software checks at startup and there’s a bell icon if newer firmware is found.

I’d agree with that.

Of the Mores I’ve fitted in the last week, they’ve all come out on the previous iteration, but I’m getting prompts to go to 1.4. Per the consensus on here, I’m suggesting that the clients wait on the upgrade until the 1.4.1 version.

Good to know. My new audiologist confirmed that there were issues with the current firmware for Oticon More and that a fix was on its way.

Oticon in Denmark are fantastic (unlike Oticon in the UK). I had issues with my Oticon OPN PP BTE hearing aids randomly rebooting for the last few weeks and significant battery drains, especially in my right one. I was just still within my four year warranty (purchased in Denmark, 2018) and within 30 minutes of arriving at Oticon in Denmark, they had replaced all of the hardware, battery doors and hooks leaving just the shells unchanged and put my programs/ settings back on without any issues. So impressed with them. Definitely much clearer and no battery issues now so think the previous hardware was ageing, especially as I stream for hours everyday.

I visited my new audiologist as well and am now in the process of getting the Oticon More MiniRITE with 105 power receiver molds. I had my ear impressions taken as the first step.

Very excited about getting these in the New Year, especially as never thought I’d be able to have this style but as it is the same fitting range as my OPN PPs and having got on so well with these over the years, hopefully I will get on well with these too.

Planning to be in Denmark for the week in early Feb so I can try them out and see how I get on with them and hopefully the firmware issues will be resolved by then too
