It’s worth noting that the audiologist’s loaners that I was using (these were rechargeables) until I got my warranty replacements were also rebooting randomly.
And you’re telling me that I experienced it happening to three different Oticon units, including rechargeables, and it’s not a manufacturer defect and that it is due to the fault of my hearing loss? Hmmmmm…
These are just a few of these threads and posts…
I don’t have the More, I have the OPN, which is also Oticon but a couple of generations before the More. When I first got my OPNs, they would randomly restart without any rhythm and rhyme. But after a firmware or two or three, they no longer do it as much as before (which can be a few times a week), but once in a long while it can still happen.
As hearing aids get more and more complicated, it’s easier and easier for computations inside, or algorithms, of software-based memory stacking or mem…
Good to know. My new audiologist confirmed that there were issues with the current firmware for Oticon More and that a fix was on its way.
Oticon in Denmark are fantastic (unlike Oticon in the UK). I had issues with my Oticon OPN PP BTE hearing aids randomly rebooting for the last few weeks and significant battery drains, especially in my right one. I was just still within my four year warranty (purchased in Denmark, 2018) and within 30 minutes of arriving at Oticon in Denmark, they had replace…
Yesterday the app and connection just started bugging out on me. Randomly raising and lowering volume and then this message. I full forget device and reboot seems to have fixed it but to me it just looks like an indication there are deeply embedded issues yet to appear. Arghhh!

Ditto for me - way back in the day when I had the OPNs. A firmware update fixed that, but then Oticon never came out with the ConnectClip for that model, so I turned them in after NINE months and switched to Phonak.
That said, my Phonak aids would reboot randomly when the receiver started to die. That’s how I’m alerted if the issue crops up again! Like Cinderella’s slipper, that receiver is gonna GO. So I’d best pay attention to its rebooting.
