Emf interference in hearing aids

Since you are able to turn the left unit off, perhaps you are correct and the problem is the right unit. When they replaced the instruments, are you sure they replaced them entirely? Is it possible they just replaced the GUTS and reused the housing? Could the press button or the rocker switch or the spring contact that originally was problematic be the original? That is the only thing I can imagine would cause the charge cradle to turn off the device but not the button. Understand?

You said you have a good AuD? Maybe he can temporarily swap a loaner with you. But he does it so you know it’s a whole new unit. Takes under two minutes to copy the fitting to the new unit!

I am interested in this because I am a lifelong troubleshooter of gear!

Yep the problem right now is the righ unit. Yep they replaced entirely because they gave me whole new boces and everything, and i checked the serial numbers so yeah they’re new.
Nope because my older housing had black color and these ones are silver.

But yeah i get it i wish it was a faulty bottom but sadly is not.

Yeah he can but that is just temporary cuz i have to find the problem of this ones and i already went through the process of borrowing a ha until the technicians “solve” the problem lol.

Yeah i see that i appreciat u my man cuz i also like to troubleshoot the tech i wear and use.

Quick update i will follow the advice of white hat and i will isolate every source of bt for a while just to see if something like that is causing this random mute.

I will tell u guys how it goes the next few weeks.

When the HA’s were replaced, were the receivers replace? If they were, ignore the rest of my message, If not read on
I don’t think your problem is a EMF problem! (have never heard of a EMF problem with HA’s)

As a DYI’er I would swap the right and left HA’s (this requires changing the receivers to the other aid ) and see if the problem is the HA or receiver.
Since we don’t have your audiogram … I don’t know if you would have to re-program the aids … or if you loss from right to left is similar, so it would be OK for a test. ??
I do know that my Resound Nexia will not accept a R/L receiver swap without reprogramming.

I have had similar problem with one set of HA’s , and it turned out to be a problem with the microphone in the one aid and when switch from R to L the problem moved to the other side.

In another lifetime I got to know the Service Manager of the London Ontario Mercedes dealership well. Way Back…late 1970’s.
A Mercedes owner was leaving for his annual Florida trip. The entire winter…
He said there was a clicking noise in his brand new car.
He came back in the spring. The noise had bothered him all winter

It was from his hearing aids! It was interference from his new Mercedes.I have no idea what model the car was. Mechanical Fuel Injection? Electrical Fuel Injection?

Mick was the Service Manager. He became a good friend. for years.

Rics huh ? It never crossed my mind that these could be a part of the problem I’m facing. They did not replace my rics partially because the technicians said that the rics are in perfectly fine state so i don’t know, now that u tell me u had a similar problem I’m starting if is the ric.

I have a question  how do u know if a RIC is faulty ? Or what are the signs to identify if it’s the ric that is failing ? (Just in case my rics are the signia connex receiver 3.0)

Wow interesting did u know what kind of hearing aids were used?

It’s ancient times…about 1980? plus or minus. So I’m guessing, but not knowing, if they were analog. I could be certain that the car had fuel injection. I have heard that some Mercedes had bad issues with wiring harnesses

Mick was an extraordinary mechanic and service manager.
