Jabra just put up a website saying they are available at Costco Stores.

Any info on the differences from the 10?

They are touting improved speak clarity, implementing Auracast technology and the newest implementation of le Bluetooth.

They say the newest Bluetooth LE version will permit hands free calls. They also point out these has will be smaller.

It’s the ReSound Nexia in disguise…not!

11/8/23 - I just got home from Costco in Wenatchee, WA. Had a hearing test and ordered the new Jabra Enhance Pro 20. The HIS said they became available this past Monday for order. Mine will be fitted on November 20th.

Curious, did they offer any Jabra model with disposable batteries?

No mention of battery version that I saw. They only talk about rechargeables that will last an entire day plus the travel charger included that will give 3 full charges.

In Canada there are two disposable battery version, one with a 312 battery and one with a 13 battery.
The attached Quick Reference Guide (Canada Version) gives more info.
The US website does not seem to show any support information for the 312 battery version so I’m not sure it’s available in the US.

They offered Lithium battery with a case, one with size 12 battery and with size 13 battery which comes standard with Bluetooth LE, Auracast and a Telecoil. I chose the Size 13 battery. I use my aids from 6 AM to 10PM and wanted a battery that will last 4-5 days.

Very interesting to hear about the Jabra EP 20 at Costco. I’ll be very interested to hear about others experience with these for BT support/use with Android.

Hopefully a new version will improve performance vs. Jabra EP 10. I purchased Jabra EP10 last spring and used for two months – prior HAs were KS9 (i.e. Phonak Marvel). I really liked the sound with Jabra vs. KS9/Phonak as it was more “open” type of sound and not as directional as Phonak IMHO. The Jabra app was also great. Android performance with Jabra 10s however, was just not sufficient for me for both phone (hands-free) use and with streaming. Sound was inconsistent, and was localized in both ears, vs. presenting a more unified stereo effect, if that makes sense.

I played around with it quite a bit, and assessed several different times with my Audi at Costco, but A-B testing with Android BT for Jabra and KS9s just wasn’t comparable. So, I returned Jabras and went back to KS9s. Now, I will be interested to assess if Jabra EP 20s are worthwhile to explore once again with Android.

I visited my Costco in San Antonio on Friday. I wanted to know more about the new Streamer+, whether it was also backward compatible with earlier ReSound aids like the Omnias or could only work with the Nexias. The Costco rep I spoke to only knew that the TV Streamer 2 was being sold to go with the Jabra Enhance Pro 20s (and I know it’s supposed to work with the Nexias, too - that’s why I thought the Streamer+ might also be backward compatible). The guy I spoke to certainly didn’t know much about BT LE Audio vs. MFi devices, etc. So, there might be a learning curve at Costcos about what they’re selling! Buyer Beware! He did confirm what I already knew - you can’t buy accessories with your insurance coverage as they’re not medical devices.

Yes, with some “Smart” TVs. Look for this in the Specifications:
" Bluetooth Enabled

The device is capable of communicating with another device via Bluetooth, provided they are within the required range of each other. A Bluetooth-enabled device must also be the same Bluetooth version or higher than the accessory it is intended to pair with."
I don’t think they are common. I tried one from Best Buy once and the Bluetooth worked fine with my KS10 hearing aids but the channel tuner didn’t work well so I returned it.

For example, here is one with Bluetooth 5.0:

@mystuart and @member6, your posts in this thread seem more than a little off-topic. They have nothing to do with the Jabra Enhance Pro 20s or accessories that might be purchased with them and how those accessories might work with the Jabra Enhance Pro 20s and previous ReSound HAs, not even with shopping for HAs at Costco. A thread on the KS10s would be a more appropriate place for such posts.

I’m sure there is no problem answering a question anywhere on this forum.

Deleted. And the point of my post had to do w/ linking to a tv, rather than about KS10s. At least that was my intention.

From my experience it’s very rare to find somebody that knows technical details in any retail setting. One should always verify somewhere else or be sure the item can be returned. I’ve also learned to try not to ask leading questions as people tend to like to be agreeable.

I’m new here, but I now have experience with the Jabra Pro 10’s and Android, and I know exactly what you are referring to. It’s really the only problem I have with these hearing aids. What I’ve found is that it is due to the very poor range of the Bluetooth receiver in the hearing aids. If you hold the phone close to your ears, everything works great. I hold the phone up near my face when making phone calls. For streaming, I can usually get away with having my phone in my jacket pocket and everything works good. In pants pocket it can sometimes start to cut out or give that “localized” effect you are talking about.

Even with this problem, the Jabras are way better than the Oticons I tried from an audiologist. Those things would disconnect all the time, and the app was horrible. I love the Jabra app and the hearing aids work good with my ears. I am hoping they can up the Bluetooth receiver range in the future. (Just let Jabra use their own receiver instead of using Resounds)

I have the Phillips 9040s and am in my 5th month of my “trial” period. I went to Costco yesterday and my HA fitter put my stats into a pair of the loaner Jabra’s she has. I am trying them for a week. They are really differant sounding and truthfully so far I’m not impressed. Coming home in the car I noticed quickly that I could not hear the turnsignal clicking. Then when we got home after a little while my DW ask if I had turned them down because I didn’t answer her a few times. I texted my daughter and had her to call me. She did and her voice was not as clear as she is with the 9040’s. This morning I have tried adjusting these Jabra’s in the app after I finally got them to connect. I can’t try the TV connector because they don’t keep one for loaner in the store. 1st impressions are not great for me but I’m going to keep trying to give them a chance. I’m in my 3rd set from Costco since 2009, 1st set was Kirklands, from them I got a set of Oticons, then a set of Bernafons that I still have as backups. The reason I tried these 9040’s is the Bernafons would quit with the slightest bit of moisture and the HIS at Costco says the 9040 rechargable won’t be as susceptible to that because of no battery door. I like the Jabra’s size and weight better than the 9040’s but to get the lesser weight in them I would have to go back to replaceble batteries so mabe no improvement there? Anyway that’s where I stand now.
