I have phonak I 90’s. I use Zoom and I am using Bluetooth on my new MacBook Air to have sound go straight to my aids — the sounds is great! However the people I talk to say the sound they hear is muffled. Does anyone have a solution other than using headphones. I find headphones hurt my ears over time. Thanks
Getting the Roger On would work.
The V2 and V3 have a headset mode.
From Google -
- Roger On with Headset (V2/V3):
The Roger On V2/V3 model has a headset mode specifically designed for computer-based calls like those on Teams.
Thanks. I will look into this.
They are quite expensive but eBay is the place to look for second hand.
You’ll need the Phonak Roger On V3 for your hearing aids.
Look on the microphone sensitivity in the Zoom app and/or in the MacOS settings. You may be able to set it for the I90 microphone as well as the Mac microphone.
Any version of Roger On (v1,2 or 3) will work with the Infinios. As Zebras said you will need v2 or v3 to use the headset mode (use the mics in the Roger rather than the mics in the hearing aids)
The FlooGoo FMA120 has dedicated firmware for this purpose. Please see the link below for more details:
This is not my experience with the Infinios.
Do you have this issue when using your phone for phone calls?
Try deleting and re-pairing the BT connection on your Mac and follow Bimodal_user recommendation. Zoom, Facetime and other mac meeting apps have a setting in the preferences menu that allow you adjust and test your microphone functionality.
Phonak uses BT classic and its troubleshooting steps are the same as for any other BT headset when it is used as a BT headset.
