Well then the folks at Demant need to pull their heads out of their fannies. Since it looks like Resound has beaten them once again.
Does the Sphere currently have an advantage by using the FlooGoo?
Yes my Rexton aids are listed and I can connect one on one, I have not yet been able to connect in broadcast mode
Has anyone with a Resound Nexia been able to connect in broadcast mode with the updated Resound app? If anyone has the new Vivia, same question.
Will this connect Rexton Reach hearing aids to my Pixel 4a and/or Mac M1?
Yes, the dongle works as a standard USB audio device. You’ll need a USB-C to USB-A adapter if your Mac only has USB-C.
Thanks! Is this plug-and-play or is setup difficult?
honestly I’m just happy there is even a device that only costs 50 bucks pairable with current hearing aids that works on a PC and not require me to be handcuffed to a single manufacturer’s $300 locked accessory that has even less features and uses ancient soon to be obsolete tech. Not having to switch out my hearing aids to use earbuds that end up impairing my ability to hear my surroundings has been something I’ve been searching for since i became a HA user last year.
Yes, it works right away. Here’s a screenshot showing it in action with an FMA120 as an Auracast sender.
You’ll need to update the dongle’s firmware and pair it with your HA first. After that, it should work as plug-and-play.
Does anyone know if this can connect my Widex Moments to my M1 MacBook Air? Not necessarily Auracast, but at least Bluetooth audio?
What phone are you using it with?
iPhone 13Pro. HAs connect perfectly with phone and iPad, but Apple says only M2, M3 MacBook Airs etc will connect natively.
The screenshot was taken on an iPhone SE 2 running iOS 18.3.1.
I don’t think the oticon intents would support that at present - they currently only support streaming to the hearing aids
Just ordered it! Anxiously awaiting it for my Rexton Reaches and Mac Air M1. I have been using Shokz bone conductors to listen to Youtube videos on my Mac M1, but it seems that everytime I use the Shokz it knocks out my Hearing Aids connection to my Android Phone and switches phone calls to Speaker. Maybe just a coincidence, but I am hoping for the chance to erliminate this problem.
Here’s the firmware that snah76 mentioned as working with the Rexton Reach. You can always check the FMA120 webpage for the latest version, and FlooCast will also provide a link when a main branch update is available.
Thanks very much for the replies and encouragement. I received the device aka “dongle” and installed latest version of Floocast but no success with my Rexton Reaches yet. So I am considering replacing my Pixel 4a with a Pixel 8 or 9 or perhaps a Samsung Galaxy as per this article, and would be grateful for any experiences/opinions/suggestions as between Pixel and SS Galaxy?
