May i ask you “Can LE Audio use the phone’s microphone during calls?”
thanks!
In the case of Oticon Intent, yes, tried it and it worked
thanks you ! how can you switch between phone’ mic and HA’s mic?
Do you have this screen on your phone?
That’s supposed to be coming in Android 16, so unless @Bruno_Marques has a beta I think he might be mistaken. Happy to be corrected on that.
I have the option to “Use Auracast to share a broadcast” as per the first section. However, at least with the Philips 9050s paired, I do not have the option to “Search for and listen to a broadcast” as documented in the second part. Under 9050 bluetooth settings menu on the phone I can toggle Bluetooth LE on or off. With Bluetooth LE switched off I get the option to enable or disable L or R hearing aid, and an option that allows separate volume adjustment (which the app does anyways)
Interesting. Let’s hope this gets sorted out with android 16 or Philip’s installs an assistant in their app.
When you use LE AUDIO for calls, does the phone use its own microphone for audio input, or does it use the HA’s microphone?
The Dongle seems to work with my pc, the led is flashing that it is broadcasting and my wired headphones stopped working. In settings, sound the device is listed as FMA 120 is the speaker but my Rexton aids hear nothing and show no indication in the FLooCast app as being paired, the FLooCast app does not see my aids
Have you put the hearing aids right next to the dongle with both in pairing mode? I’ve read some older posts mentioning when pairing the range is very small vs the connection range once the device is paired with the aids. When I get connection issues, with the app open, I would first take the hearing aids out of charger then once I hear the power on beep on both aids, plug in the floogoo dongle and place the aids right next to the dongle. Make sure Bluetooth on your smart phone is disabled as well if your aids are paired to it
can’t help you there, i rarely use phones as phones these days. I primarily just text/whatsapp and use online stuff lol i maybe log 10-12 mins per month off my plan at best and half of those are spam calls
I’ll try with the aids next to the dongle
Bluetooth off on the phone?
yes bluetooth on phone is off
This is disappointing. I have been tracking the progress for plans to try the FMA120.
@Ranson has been active in the thread, maybe he can escalate with support@flairmesh.com to help with troubleshooting and configuration.
Nope, definitely not mistaken, but I can’t test it again because it was a trial I did a few months ago. LE Audio allows for hands free phone calls, not sure what’s the surprise? I have the Google Pixel 8a. About the question of choosing between phone mic or hearing aids mic, I didn’t think about it, I don’t recall there being an option.
I did e mail support but have not heard back yet
Got an e mail today from FlooGoo with a new firmware for Signia and Rexton. It works, this is the first time I have had pc audio for any hearing aid. Time to play
Do You mean that your hearing aids are listed on the list in FlooCast, and You can connect to them in one to one mode?
Although Philips 9050 and Oticon Intent support LE Audio, BASS protocol is not implemented. Therefore, neither Samsung OUI or any third party Broadcast Assistant BA cannot “assist” them to search or join any Auracast broadcast source. Only app/firmware update from Demant will enable Auracast on those models.
