You could get the Phillips from Costco wholesale for 1/3 of the price, what makes you feel that Bernafon is the one to go for music, but make sure you do a decent trial before committing, and try not to be sucked into the marketing blurb as it’s all hype from the manufacturers.

Thanks for the comments.
Have you tried either brand with a guitar.
I am not sure what brands costco carries in Ontario? Cheers

Sorry I don’t play pro, but yes with Signia and ReSound I’m happy with, your local store will have the rebranded models Phillips (Oticon parts bin) Jabra (ReSound) Rexton (Signia) you could do some research with these links and of course no harm in taking your guitar in store and strum a few cords to see which you prefer, there’s also Widex that’s got a few musicians excited.

i think Branford is actually re sound

Do you mean Beltone, yes they are ReSound, but sold as Jabra at Costco.

I play classical guitar and use signia ax7s. these come with a pre-installed musician program, as do most brands. It doesn’t matter, the Signias had to have some tweaking done to the Musician program to make them work. It’s easy for an audi to do this, if you can find one who’s willing. Read the articles that Tenkan linked to. I brought in an “audiologist instruction for programming for music” list to show my audi. Even the rep from Signia was initially reluctant to follw those. instructions, but it made all the difference in the world for the better. So don’t make a decision before the Musician program has been properly adjusted.

Also, I think that Beltone will lock their hearing aids so that only their stores can change your settings. Not a good idea.

No not true, I use Beltone myself, so no problem at all.

Hi Jeffrey, are you able to post the instructions to this forum for me to read?
Thanks, Paul
