About Patient Visit Expectations and Practices

What a great idea! Now, I stumbled into this thread last night and it slowly escorted me to sleep. Please indulge me. After reading 30-40 posts I started getting the idea that this may be in an area of HearingTracker that’s inhabited by, shall we say, industry insiders, not your run-of-the-mill HA wearer much less newbie like me (fitted w/ 1st, Rexton Reach, on Dec. 5, 2024). Son of an M.D., the 1st in his family, which since spawned 5 others. The AMA looms for me an entity, so to speak. TBH, from the start my Rextons were great in terms of giving me the added dimension of high frequencies, my audiogram should explain that, I figure. But I feel like an ignoramus in terms of understanding where I stand with respect to how to get the most out of them. The first fitter didn’t explain much at all and the 2nd (who I haven’t had adjust me yet, which will be my 2nd adjustment session) is on vacation in Japan ATM. Will meet up with him on April Fools’ Day (I’m told I will be his 1st appointment after returning), and I just hope I’m not a total fool when I walk out of the Costco HAC appointment. The Rexton App? Well, I’ve played with it some, I’m like a 3YO in Disneyland, kinda lost. Dang thing doesn’t respond sometimes to multiple finger presses on the Pixel 8 I bought especially to support it. Wondering if I should return the Rextons and get the Philips or Jabra.
